The New Women's Physique Division: Myths Dispelled.

DSC_4022_HURKLXKLNORumors, speculation, and hearsay regarding a new women's physique division have swept across various internet bodybuilding and fitness forums over the past week.  Stories of the demise of women's bodybuilding run rampant, which has created what one forum member has coined "widespread panic" on the Rx Muscl Forums.  Of course, the demise of women's bodybuilding has been predicted for years, but we have yet to see it disappear from the contest schedule.  Now that the new Women's Physique Division is a reality, will it mark the end of women's bodybuilding as we know it?

Fortunately, IFBB Pro Representative Bob Cicherillo has joined the Rx Muscle forums to dispell and confirm some of the myths surrounding this controversial new division.  According to Bob, “Official information will be out shortly, as we are putting together the particulars as we speak. All official notifications will come directly from Jim Manion and the IFBB Pro Division as well as the NPC National office.”

He goes on to explain the criteria for the new division and answer questions posted by our forum members in the following thread: Womens Physique Division Answers . Log in to the Rx Muscle forums to have your questions answered by Bob and join in the discussion to find out how national and pro competitors feel about this new division, and tune in to Monday Night's Heavy Muscle Radio to hear Steve Wennerstrom, IFBB Womens Historian discuss his take on this new division as well as the evolution of women's physique competition back to 1979 when it all began.
