How has your life changed since you adopted this lifestyle and started competing?
I can say that my life has changed completely. Being a bikini competitor has taught me a lot about what is valuable in life, especially health. I learned to be a more decisive woman, dedicated, organized, to always seek for improvements and to be a goal getter. I am now stronger physically and mentally. But most importantly, I would say that I understand that the competition is not with others, but with myself!

What have you found to be the best way to balance family, friends, career, this lifestyle, etc…
I have learned to surround myself with people who motivate me, who understand what I do. At first it was hard because no one seemed to get what Im working for, but slowly everyone around me especially my family began to notice that it was a good thing, I looked healthier and stronger, more dedicated, and they even started to approach me for advicIMG 5146e and to coach them to have a healthier life. My effort and lifestyle was motivating everyone around me, and thanks to that my older brother also competes in Men's Physique today!

If you could change places with one competitor for the day who would it be and why?
Definitely with India Paulino, I love her personality, she’s an explosive & confident woman & when she goes out on stage she make sure to leave her signature. She is a role model, I identify a lot with her, first because we are both Dominican, and secondly because she has proven to be a woman with determination, dedicated and willing to give 100 % to achieve her goals, that’s why today she’s one of the most recognized athletes.

Name two of the most inspirational people in your life and tell why they inspire you.
My primary motivation is my husband Jerry Tejada , who has been my best friend, pusher and my biggest supporter. He has been there in the good and bad times, and has pushed me to be better every day, and despite how hard it is to share the same roof with a competitor, has always been very supportive in helping me to always give my best and become stronger. On the other hand, my family who have always been there to support my career and giving me their best.

Tell one recipe or suppleswimwearment you can’t live without.
OverRide & Core Burner from Human Evolution Supplements! I couldn’t have worked out the way I do without them! They’re just amazing!!!

Tell about a typical training day for you. What exercises, how many sets/reps…etc…
I like circuit training but my favorites are glutes and shoulders!
- Pushups 3x15
- Barbell overhead press 3x15
- DB Lateral Raise 3x15
- Reverse Flye Rear Delts 3x20 !
GLUTES !
