In your opinion, how important is motivation and confidence when aiming to accomplish a goal?

Motivation and confidence is a crucial factor in making one's dreams manifest. If there is no one in the world who believes in you, or supports you then you must be the one who believes in yourself with an undying faith! Confidence is a must because again you have to know that you have what it takes to be the best. I have an extreme and do or die work ethic that has carried me along the way in any and every journey that I set my eyes on accomplishing. Confidence is something that others can sense and it grabs their attention so they will indeed focus on you, and be captivated by you. You have to know that you have what it takes in your soul to accomplish any goal, otherwise you will fail.

In your eyes, what combination of hard work and natural ability is needed to reach the top?

Genetics does indeed play a major factor. I have great genetics. I build both muscle and strength with ease. I also have a very extensive background in track and field and powerlifting. I have always been great at picking up heavy 10836292 10204988259253639 1429931953 nstuff and I have been weight training since age 14. I have a naturally powerful structure and I have been using it since I was a child. Again, I have a do or die attitude when it comes to training. Give it 200% and go hard to maximize your results every time. Having both a do or die attitude when it comes to training in combination with good genetics and an extensive background in fitness is a recipe for a champion.

What are some motivational strategies that have or currently work for you?

I see myself as a super hero, hence She Hulk. I pride myself on being a paradigm of excellence. I hold myself accountable because I know that there are several people out there who I inspire and who look up to me. That within itself is a prominent motivating factor for me and I keep it in my head at all times.

Give me some examples from your life where confidence has helped you to achieve?

Winning my last two shows. I told myself in March that I was going to do both a National Qualifier and a National show and win them both. I told myself that I was going to train like a maniac and exhaust all options to win. I wrote it down on a note pad that this was indeed going to be my reality. I trained hard and focused and I knew that I would train harder than anyone else to secure the win. I knew it without a doubt I would win and it manifested. I was very confident and my faith was 100%

What do you find the most challenging about competing?

The most challenging thing is to have your mental state clear. There are a lot of things to be sacrificed in this sport. You are going to be hungry, angry, and sad. You will miss out on cookies, pizza, ice cream, parties, and other events because you have to diet and train. You must be consistent because results are cumulative from consistent training. You have to keep your mind clear of distractions and negativity and hone in on winning and be the best you that you can be.

What are your top 5 key strategies for success?

1) Planning - You have to writ10836395 10204988248293365 1978231979 ne down what it is that you want to accomplish and strategize on how you are going to make it happen

2) Support System - You have to find others who will support you and help you along the way to maximize your results. Other competitors you can talk to, professional coaches, babysitters to help watch your kids while you workout.

3) Faith - Know you are a winner regardless and be the best you that you can be.

4) Visualization- See yourself how you want to be at your best and focus on it all day.

5) Stay Informed- I do a lot of research and self teach so I can stay on top of the game and make sure I am doing all I can to maximize my efforts to be the best.

What is your favorite protein powder?
I used to take Probolic SR in chocolate regularly a few years back. I rarely drink protein shakes. I am a eater. I am really big on consuming real food. I like to eat my protein. I LOVEEE TO EAT REAL FOOD!!! So, fish, chicken, and turkey are the way to go.

Why do you like it?
I liked Probolic SR because when mixed with milk it did not have a weird after taste, nor did it cause gastric issues.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: Learning is never cumulative, it is a movement of knowing, which has no beginning and no end ~ Bruce Lee ~

In closing, Who would you like to give a shout out to?

Lucille Simmons!! My 74 year old mother!! She is my main support system. I am a divorced and single mother and 10834173 10204988259813653 1089915770 nshe helps me with my child. She doesn't quite understand the sport but she knows that I am awfully good at it. She cooks eggs and chicken breast for me, she is the best!!
