What is your favorite contest prep recipe?
I don’t think anyone that knows me would be surprised to read that my favorite contest prep recipe would have to be PROTEIN PANCAKES!!! They are super easy to make: just a few ingredients and in a few minutes BAMM! Favorite meal that feels like a cheat but completely fits in my nutrition plan! Plus, no one hates pancakes. If they say they do, I assume they’re lying or my pancakes are just exceptionally awesome! ;)

Recipe
Pancakes: 6 Egg Whites, 1 Whole Egg, ½ cup oats (mix)
Syrup: 1 scoop 1st Phorm Phormula-1 CTC Protein Powder
Water – Start with an ounce and add more if needed

Tips: 1.) Do not forget the Phormula-1 Protein Powder (this is what makes it sweet and delicious!!!!!)
2.) Eat every last bite!

What part of your physique are you currently working on?
Thanks to my coach, IFBB Pro Andre Adams with fit4eachother online, my workouts have changed as needed to make sure I’m stage ready in November. We’re working on all parts of my body but one thing really has our focus! Currently we’re working on some booty work! Unfortunately I was not blessed with the genetics of a nicely sized hind-end but with Andre’s help, I’ve noticed some great gains and am officially no longer worried that I will walk on stage without the booty I’ve always wanted!

Name one piece of nutrition/fitness advice that has stuck with you.
Many things come to mind but if I had to pick one piece of advice it would be that you have to be 100% dedicated to your goal, 100% dedicated to your workouts, and 100% dedicated to your diet! What is the point in prepping for a competition when in the back of your mind you haven’t completely decided if you are actually going to walk up on stage? You have to throw yourself completely into the process. Once you’ve completely committed yourself, the food cravings don’t seem as strong, the workouts are exciting, and the whole process becomes worth it!

If you could compete in one other event (FBB, physique, figure, fitness, bikini) which would it be and why?
If I could compete in one other event, it would be FIGURE!!! Who doesn’t want abs like that? I find myself looking at pictures of bikini and figure competitors a lot. I think bikini is very graceful and feminine but figure just seems badass! I think I would be flexing all the time if I looked like that…..ok I still flex all the time. :D

Why NPC:
I picked the NPC because I know a few pbackeople at my local gym that have competed in some NPC competitions and have had nothing but great things to say about it! I thought I would look into doing a competition earlier this year and found one in my home state and finally committed to competing!

What do you like best about competing?
Since I am prepping for my very first fitness competition, this is all so very new to me. So far the thing I like best is the way I have started to feel about myself. It’s amazing to see my body changing in a way I never thought possible. I’ve discovered an inner-strength with my dedication to my prep that really excites me because it’s a side of myself that I thought I lost. Since I’ve started my prep, life just seems to be a whole heck of a lot happier!

What are your goals for the future?
One thing I’ve learned to do is not be afraid to dream BIG! My goal is to push my body and mind as far as I can to become the most fit I’ve ever been in my life. I want to live this dream as long as possible, compete and become pro if that’s what God has in store for me. Along the way, I want to help as many people as possible start their health journey and give advice as much as I can. This is a beautiful lifestyle and I think it’s important to share it with as many people that I come in contact with.

Competition history:
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been involved in sports. I’ve played softball, volleyball, basketball, and ran track for several years. But this is my first fitness competition! It’s a completely different ball game but I’m confident with the help of my coach and the hard work I’ve been putting in, that I’ll be ready to go in November!

Next competition:
I’ll be making rmy bikini debut on November 8th in Davenport, Iowa at the 2014 Iowa Bikini Pro & NPC Battle of Champions.

Hobbies:
Lately it seems that my hobbies have become working out, eating, food prepping, doing laundry, and sleeping! ;) But I also enjoy playing/watching sports, sitting down to read a book – usually in its entirety, going to the movies, and spending as much time with family and friends as possible. But my absolute favorite thing to do is put on oversized jammies, cuddle up on the couch, and watch the Lion King! It just gets me! :D

What is the biggest lesson you have learned over the years when it comes to competing?
Just being involved in athletics, I’d have to say the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you get what you deserve. If you only give half of what you’re capable of, you’ll only get half of what you could have had. Do be the best you can be, give 100% of what you have for that given day. Your 100% may vary from day to day but as long as you push yourself to that point, you’ll get the results you deserve.

What is your favorite contest prep supplement?
I’m currently taking all 1st Phorm products, the Let It Burn Stack (For Her) to be exact, and I’m absolutely in love! I haven’t lost any strength and I feel amazing! Plus, everything tastes so good! I think everyone can agree that we’ve all come across some flavors with our supplements that make you gag the whole time you’re consuming them. Thankfully every flavor I’ve tried of 1st Phorm products have been delicious! If I had to pick one thing from my stack it would have to be the LEVEL-1 Ice Cream Sandwich protein powder. My favorite way to make it is with just 4 ounces of water so that the consistency resembles cake batter! I always look forward to taking it and, without shame, use a spoon to scrape every last bit out of my shaker!
