Sacrifice Workout Line...by IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Stacey Pillari…the name ‘SACRIFICE’ says it all.  What we “sacrifice” to be the best...

djhI know what your thinking..."ANOTHER clothing line?" Well let me tell you this one sparks my interest due to the unique sayings found on the clothes.  Anything with Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Pro Card all in the same line is enough to shake up anyone's enthusiasm.  Not to mention this line offers more than clothing! Here I get to sit down with IFBB pro bodybuilder Stacey Pillari and pick her brain about what started this journey for her.

RxGirl: Good Morning Stacey! I have to admit, I love all of your clothes! The burn outs are my favorite! What ignited in you to start your own line of clothing, even though the market seems flooded at times with this type of line?

SP:What sparked my idea was that you can never have enough cool looking workout clothes. We work so hard to make our physiques look the best; we want to wear clothes that are flattering, comfortable, functional, yet still cool and stylish looking while we train. Or simply a shirt that says it all for us...like my saying for leg day, "Leg Day...Only the Strong Shall Survive". I Think that about says it all! So, all of THAT combined with hearing my friends complain because they could never find any workout clothes got me on the path to creating this for them!

RxGirl: Nice! When you decided on the path, how long did it take you to pull it all together?

SP: It took me about 6 months to get things started with trying to find the right logo, to designs, sayings, fabrics, styles, and manufacturers. Then I had to put together a marketing plan along with testing pieces to see how response was. I got some great feedback noting trial and error on a few pieces, and jackpot on others.  I’m still adding, and always taking suggestions from people as to what they want to see available.

RxGirl: A marketing plan is KEY! No one can buy your product if they don’t know that it exists, right? How do you aim to market your line, and what have been some marketing accomplishments for you?kuhfykygt

SP: My exposure as an IFBB Pro athlete will hopefully help get my workout line out there. I try and wear my own clothes, and am always looking for other athletes to endorse my line as well. IFBB Pro Brandon Curry wore my ‘Sacrifice’ weight lifting straps on the cover of Muscle Mag’s September issue.  Pretty cool! Also, it is awesome when I see someone that I don't even know wearing something from my line, or when I hear comments from people saying, "Hey! I saw someone wearing your shirt!!"

RxGirl: That had to be a rush spotting someone you don’t know wearing your clothing line! What makes your line stand out amongst the competition?

SP: My line is unique in the aspect that, most of the clothes can be worn in or out of the gym, and the tanks and t-shirts can be customized. I offer a couple of styles in the tanks, and variety of colors, and tons of different sayings, you choose what you want. The t-shirts for the men are offered in selection of colors, and a few different sayings to choose from as well.  The sayings are mostly ones that I have made up myself, or that someone else suggested and by doing so gets a free tank or t-shirt if saying is used.

RxGirl: Good idea on the free tank! I might have to start coming up with some sayings for you! Now, tell us about the weight lifting straps. I’ve just started using them, and now after a year find that I’m very particular about my straps. Why should someone try out your straps?

SP: The weight lifting straps are a little different than what is out there on the market. I decided to make them extra long for additional wrap and thicker so it will not rip as easily on the heavier lifts and long time wear and tear. It also has the neoprene at wrist for comfort, and the logo and Sacrifice name for the edgy tough look that I think fits with the lifter that uses them.

RxGirl: What is your hottest selling product right now?kh

SP: Definitely the women's burnouts that have been a sellout...nice enough to wear out of the gym, and light enough to wear in the gym!!

RxGirl: What are the slogans you’ve come up with so far?

SP: In the future I will have more sayings on the women's tanks and men's t-shirts, a new design for the women's burnouts, men's tanks will be added to the line this year, as well as drawstring gym bags. But, I like to keep everything affordable! So will be working hard on keeping my prices in check!
