RX Muscle Model Search: A Interview with Jack Titone

RX Muscle Model Search: A  Interview with Jack Titone

st-louis-archOn March 17th The St. Louis Pro and NPC Midwest Championships will be held in St. Louis at the Busch Student Center at St. Louis University.  Promoter Jack Titone and RX muscle are pleased to announce that this year the contest will also serve as host to the 2nd Annual RX Muscle Model Search.  I had a chance to catch up with Mr. Titone to find out a little bit about his show and the RX Muscle Bikini Model Search!

GM: Hey Jack, first off thank you taking the time to talk to us I know this close to a show you are a very busy guy!

JT: You welcome Greg, yes I’m very busy getting ready for the show but of course I have plenty of time for you, thank you.

GM: Let’s start by talking about the show, the St. Louis Pro and NPC Midwest Championships. Tell us a little bit about what makes this show so exciting?

JT: Well what makes this show very very exciting is the fact that the people of St. Louis come and out and support it. Last year we had over 1300 people turn out to the show, and if you go to a lot of bodybuilding shows you’ll know that just doesn’t happen very often except at maybe the Olympia or the Arnold Classic.  The Venue is fantastic at St. Louis University, the hotel is a 5 star hotel, and we take care of the athletes competing.  We have the entire show contained to the host hotel and the venue so it’s very easy for competitors and they aren’t running all over town. There is also a shuttle to take them from the hotel to the venue to add to the convenience.

GM: Wow that sounds great! Now this is a NPC and Pro show, what pro divisions are included in the show?

JT: Well this is the inaugural Women’s Physique Pro Show! Women’s Pro Bikini, and Women’s Pro Fitness.Michelle Maxwell

GM: With the new change in the Olympia Qualifications how will this affect the competitiveness of this show?

JT: That’s a good point, well obviously it makes the first place position that much more important but I think what people tend to forget about is that there is still a lot of money to be won! The Olympia qualification spot is still there but at the end of the day we still have some of the most talented women in the sport coming to compete for some money.  And not only are the girl’s competing for a lot of prize money, at this show we do a trophy presentation for the top 5 in the pro division. You don’t see a lot of trophy presentations in the pro division and when you do it’s usually just the top three, but we present the top 5 with trophies.

GM: This year you have teamed up with RX Muscle to host the RX Muscle Bikini Model Search! Now is this separate from the show’s bikini division?

JT:  Yes Dave Palumbo and myself came up with the idea last year and at last year’s show we had a FANTASTIC turnout for the event. What we found was that this event rivaled the excitement of a pro show. We had women from all walks of life that weren’t necessarily competitors jump in the model search and knowing it wasn’t connected to the NPC or IFBB contest relaxed them and allowed them to get on stage and really show off their hard work. Our winner last year was Michelle Maxwell, who has turned out to do very well after this win and it really helped to push her into the industry.

GM: Who would you suggest enter this contest and what happens if you win?

JT: I would suggest ANYONE who wants their career or their future to be started with a modeling contract. We have allowed anyone to compete, the criteria is very simple, we have photographers judging the event, an interview with Dave Palumbo to help them get some exposure, build them a website, set them up with a photo shoot, give them some cash, and really help them start their career off on the right foot.

GM: Where can people find out all the important dates, times, entry fees, judging criterias etc.?

JT: They just need to go to NPCMidwest.com and click on the link at the top of the page for all those details and more.

jack andannGM: Is there anything else you’d like to tell people about the show or the model search?

JT: Well we have been doing this show for four year’s now and every year its become bigger and bigger, and that’s our promise to the fitness community and to St. Louis, to continue to make a bigger and better show. This year the event is bigger and better than ever. We have the new pro women’s physique division, the model search is an AWESOME opportunity, and we have three guest performers: Adela Garcia, Mike Liberatore, and Kai Green is guest posing! With all this under one roof, this is an event no one wants to miss.
