Old School Mexican Gear; Dunchaine Style!

I was thumbing through my old copy of the Under Ground Steroid Handbook today, reminiscing about my old friend Dan Duchaine.  Sometimes I really miss him and wonder what things would be like today if he hadn't met his end so tragically soon.  Back in the early 80s, Dan made a move to bring steroids and their related gear from the hallowed halls of the medical community right into your own bathroom.  The entire performance enhancement industry today owes its very existence to the ideas fostered by our original guru.

Many of today's know-it-alls weren't even born when Dan was making clandestine runs into Mexico and coming back with truck loads of gear.  Steroids weren't actually illegal back then.  But they were misunderstood, and Dan committed himself to creating the theories that have pretty much become the backbone of we all take for granted today.  It's one of his basic theorems I recalled recently when someone asked me about some obscure steroid offered by en even more obscure source.

In being asked this question - now ubiquitous among those dispensing illegal advice - I couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it.  Have I ever heard of XYZ's brand of pro-andro-7-methyl-oxy-diana-propinonated-dura-methanabol-stenoxolol-500? And is it any good?  Well, no I haven't, and if it was the absolute last steroid on earth, I probably wouldn't try it.  I'd snort desiccated bull testicles first, but hey, that's me.  That's not to say that a reliable staple of good domestic designer drugs doesn't exist in the US.  But no source is free of problems.  My own personal favorite is constantly embroiled in one controversy or another and right now is, once again, out of commission for several weeks.  Will we ever see them again?  Will they recover from their debacle?  Who knows? One thing this whole exotic designer drug industry has taught us is that we can count on exotic designer problems.

Pulling back to the sidelines for a minute and taking the outside vantage point, I asked myself, "What Dan would have made of all this?"  I'm sure he would extol the virtue of his classic axiom: "If you don't grow on Deca and test, you're probably not going to grow at all."  If you think about it, that is a truly powerful statement and should forever answer any questions you may have regarding gear; especially designer gear.

Right now, the most common drugs to be found in Mexico, and hence the rest of the world, are the various testosterones, Equipoise, Deca - both human and veterinary- Primobolan, and Sustonon.  Contrary to the popular notion that these drugs are manufactured in filthy facilities and are a host to many bacteria and pathogens, I have never heard of anyone having a problem with REAL Mexican steroids - other than the fact that they may be underdosed and the bottles never contain their indicated volume.

Why do I emphasize real?  Because the bum rap Mexican steroids get is usually attributed to the bogus crap purchased in border towns such as Nogales, Tijuana and Juarez.  There's money to be made off the day-trippers visiting these places in order to smuggle drugs back to the U.S. and every enterprising Mexican with access to a printing press and salad oil knows it.  Border towns exist in what's known as the "Border Zone" and are not technically in Mexico.  There is little regulation in the Border Zone as evinced by the plethora of drugs available in the multitude of farmacias offering both human and veterinary drugs on the same shelves from dubious sources.  Such disorder doesn't fly in the real Mexico, which doesn't start for 20 kilometers down the road.

For relatively little money - when you consider the downside - you can visit a name brand pharmacy in Guadalajara or Mexico City and purchase all the real testosterone, Sustanon, Primobolan and Deca you could ever use with virtually 100% confidence-- real old-school drugs that built the old-school physiques that spawned the whole freak movement.  Whether or not you choose to smuggle your purchase into the U.S. is your business.  My advice is to do your drugs in Mexico - it's a very bodybuilder-friendly place.  However, that decision is yours and yours alone.  I'm not advocating you break the law.  What I am saying is that if you don't grow on these Mexican drugs, you never will.  I know for a fact that Dan would've agreed.
