It's official! Long-time bodybuilding writer and nutritional technician Chris Aceto has inked an exclusive media contract with Rx Muscle.
"I came up in print media and was very active with major publishers from 1989 through 2008. There has been a monumental shift in bodybuilding media with the de-empahises on print and an exponential growth in on-line content. I'm extremely excited to be with the fastest growing bodybuilding website on earth."
Aceto graduated with a degree in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College and has worked with numerous well known bodybuilders over the years (including 4x Mr Olympia Jay Cutler and Arnold Classic Champion Victor Martinez).
"I love bodybuilding and the thing about being active online is the energy of it all. Unlike print, you can interact with people, you can feel where they are at--their level of excitement or aggravation. Working and interacting on RX Muscle allows me to connect with people directly."
Aceto works full time in the Real Estate industry and he so aptly reminded me of the headwinds that face print media in the coming months.
"Sam Zell is one of my idols. When it comes to real estate he has the Golden touch. A few years back, he bought the LA Times and Chicago Tribune only to see circulation crumble. I don't think that's necessarily reflective of bodybuilding media, but it seems pretty apparent that on-line media is here to stay in a big way. I'm psyched to be part of it!"
Aceto's new duties at Rx Muscle will include co-hosting Heavy Muscle Radio with Dave Palumbo and Aaron Singerman, penning monthly articles on nutrition, contest prep, and supplementation, continuing with LIVE play-by-play and video wrapups at all the major bodybuilding events around the globe, and answering fan and enthusiasts questions in his extremely popular Q&A with Chris Aceto. Rx Muscle welcomes Chris to the online family.
