What is Favorite childhood memory? My favorite part of childhood was becoming a big sister.  I was 5 years old when my sister was born and I still remember it like it was yesterday.  My dad took me to the hospital to meet her for the first time.    When I first held her in my arms, I was so excited to introduce myself as her big sister.

Name a song that motivates you. I don’t really have a specific song that motivates me, but anything Michael Jackson works.  Since many of his songs have distinct beats, I can mimic my training tempos.  Plus, I just love his music!

What is your biggest gym pet peeve? Some people’s lack of gym etiquette really grinds my gears!  Some people just do not know how to be polite.

How do you like to reward yourself?  Saturday mornings are usually my hardcore quad day.  If I felt like I had an awesome workout and really hit them hard, then I would treat myself to some delicious Lebanese food!  Plain beef sautee is my absolute favorite, and it doesn’t steer too far away from my normal calories for the day, just a nice little treat to give myself a pat on the back.

If you could change one thing about the world what would it be? The one thing I would change about this world is the ability for a person to become jealous.  It is a very unfavorable trait some of us have of others.  Sure we can still be competitive since we are competitors, but setting jealously aside could solve a lot of grudge issues.  The world would be more harmonious place to live, we would get along better, and even help each other achieve success.

What do you do right before you step onstage? About five minutes before I step on stage, I have something I have been waiting for during the entire 12 weeks of my contest prep…..a handful of peanut m & m’s!  Simple sugar, tasty, and puts a huge smile on my face!

Nook, Book or Kindle? Definitely book!  When I choose to read, it would be to learn about something.  Being a science nerd, I love to read old chemistry and weight training textbooks.

If someone followed you for the day what would they be most surprised about? How organized I am for my week.  Sunday would be the best day to follow me.  I get an entire week of my work meals put together and freeze them, followed by my post workout and afternoon workout shakes prepared, lined up in my pantry.  Next, I get my clothes for each day clean, folded, and ready for the week, aligning them on my dresser for each day.  This way every morning, I grab my clothes, food, and shakes for the day and I am ready to go!

What is your preferred tanning product and why? I love visiting the warm stand ups at my local tanning salon.  To preserve my tan, I use a smooth cocoa butter based lotion that also keeps my skin moisturized.  My olive skin tone gets me pretty dark so for my first show, I didn’t use any tanning products.  However, to get a little darker preparing for the Michigan this year, a fellow bodybuilder from my gym recommended a local spray tanning specialist….she was awesome and did a fantastic job!

Who would you like to thank? First, I would like to thank my wonderful boyfriend, bodybuilder Michael Paul!  He taught me the significant connection between weight training and diet.  He supported me with my first show and has always there for me.  I love him so much!

Next, of course are my coworkers. They see what I eat every day, admire my discipline, and support my achievements when I show them my progress pictures.  Love those ladies and gentlemen.
Lastly, I really want to thank my family, specifically my father.  Even though at first my family did not understand my motives for the sport, my father set their sentiment aside and was so proud of me.  My entire family did support me this year at the Michigan and really enjoyed the show!  They now understand my determination and my love for the sport.
