NPC New Jersey Chairman, IFBB Pro Judge, and former bodybuilding champion, John Kemper passed away today. It has been reported that John was at home using his computer when he had a massive heart attack that took his life. John was the former owner of well known hardcore bodybuilding mecca, Diamond Gym.
I have often had the pleasure of chatting with John at many IFBB and NPC shows, and I always left thinking that he was one of the good guys. When I heard the sad news I called his friend and fellow New Jersey NPC and IFBB Judge, John Hnatyschak. I will leave you with what he said about his good friend:
"I've known John since I was a kid in bodybuilding. I started training at his gym. He always supported me, and believed in me. He will be greatly missed."
Funeral plans have not yet been announced.
