Urs Kalecinski Announces Future Plans for 2023 Contest Season

Less than one week removed from a second straight top three finish at the Classic Physique Olympia, Urs Kalecinksi announced that he’s planning to compete in at least two more shows before the end of the 2023 contest season.

Despite having already secured his qualification for next year’s Mr. Olympia contest due to his top three placing, The Miracle Bear looks poised to continue building on the momentum he established last weekend by delivering an encore performance at the upcoming Texas State Pro/AM, which is slated to go down this Saturday, November 11. Although the lineup features a handful of athletes who’ve collected several top five finishes already this season, the absence of any top tier Olympia competitors puts Urs in the pole position heading into the weekend.

In addition to his appearance at the Texas State Pro/AM, the latest reports from the top three Olympia finishers team indicate that he’s also planning to compete at the EVLS Prague Pro, which is scheduled to take place the weekend of November 18, 2023.

Despite finishing behind Chris Bumstead and Ramon “Dino” Queiroz on the Olympia stage for the second consecutive year, Urs did showcase significant year over year improvement at this year’s contest and, once again, solidified himself as one of the true superstars in the Classic Physique division.

And, assuming he looks dominant in his final two appearances the contest season, it could potentially set the tone for another epic clash between he and Ramon at the 2024 Arnold Classic, as the two battle it out for the right to become the division’s number one title contender.
