Are You Willing to Do What it Takes to Achieve Your MP Dreams?

So 221599 10150159615614476 507654475 6354582 4437754 nyou are interested in making a difference in the fitness community.  You may have already or are considering competing.  The fitness competition circuit gets a bad rap from time to time.  However, if you don’t like competing you must respect the competition.  I do not know any other athletes that gives up as much as we do.  There are a huge number regular activities and foods that the MP competitor must give up daily that other athletes and normal people take for granted.  I ask you, are you willing to do what it takes?

Check out this list of sacrifices and changes you‘ll need to make if you want to be a serious MP Competitor:
-    Relaxing Mornings are given up as they are filled with cardio on an empty stomach
-    Traditional Breakfast staples such as pancakes, French toast, bagels, cream cheese, cereal, milk
-    Lunch specials such as sandwiches that have bread, deli meat, French fries, onion rings,
-    After work happy hours
-    Beer and chicken wings on Sunday
-    Going out for dinner with “normal people” as it may deter you from contest prep
-    Deserts, cake, ice cream, chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, dots
-    Stress free happenchance events, you having to have next meal in mind
-    Popcorn, liquorish, jelly beans, goobers at the movies theatres
-    Late Nights are a “no-no.“ Sleep is a necessity in contest prep.
-    Vacation activities and eating are affected if in season
-    Holidays, if too close to a contest cannot be enjoyed food wise.
-    Your food cooler travels everywhere with you.
-    SEX, relationships are on strain due to exhaustion or not enough “quality” time

To each of these I hope your answer is a resounding YES, I AM WILLING TO DO WHAT IT TAKES!

I occasionally ask myself, “Is it worth it?”  In my case I was reenergized by some fan mail which made me look back on why I started and what I wanted to achieve.   In my case, I have always been active and in shape and I wanted to take my body to the max.  I wanted to look like Arnold and Frank Zane and all the legends of the past.  I am driven to be recognized as an Icon.  I am working my way up the ladder and in time I feel I will be able fulfill this dream.  This is why I sacrifice.  This is why I give up the simple joys in life to be my best.  To inspire the next young buck, who will one day turn IFBB Pro and battle it out with the best physiques in the world.

You must find what drives you and attack that dream with everything you have.  Give up the ordinary in order to achieve the extraordinary.

Are you willing to strive for extraordinary?
