Date of birth: 12/2/75

If you could change into a superhero for a day who would you be and why?
The Hulk of course. It would be the best to get so swole that your clothes just rip off!!   Loved the Hulk in the Avengers, tearing up buildings, nothing gets in his way. I am in Hulk mode right now for Nationals.

What made you begin dedicating your lifestyle to this sport?
After training for my first show, I was addicted. When I realized how healthy I felt and how good about myself I felt, I knew that I wanted to continue with this lifestyle. In the beginning it’s very hard for friends and family to understand why you would want to live this lifestyle but then it just becomes second nature to them. I hear all the time “she can’t have that.”

What approach do you take to dieting...carb cycle..keto?
I am mostly Paleo. My trainer Tammy Patnode does my diets for me and she eats Paleo as well.  I have a family of hunters so I eat a lot of Venison!! Yum

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about competing?
I think a lot of people don’t realize that diet is such a huge factor. I just had someone ask me how she could look like me, and how long it has taken me to get here. I explained some of the basics like eating every 3 hours, no sugar, no alcohol etc. and her jaw dropped.

What is your most embarassing childhood memory?wp7
I would have to say one memory that sticks out in my mind was when a boy flashed me his junk, I think I was in 5th grade. I grew up with 2 sisters, no boys in my family except my dad. I was totally embarrassed. LOL

What is the biggest lesson you have learned about YOURSELF during your contest prep?
That I have amazing willpower! That the competition is really only with yourself. You try to get better and better for every show. I still have a long ways to go.

Who do you look up and admire and why?
My trainer Tammy Patnode I admire so much! She is truly the best support. She looks amazing, and lives the lifestyle. If I am ever a trainer, I want to be just like her. Tammy is a competitor as well, WPD IFBB Pro, so she can relate to my struggles. I could write a whole page on the reasons why I admire her so much!  I am a big Dana Linn Bailey fan as well. She’s a bad ass! Love her workout videos. I have lots of Flag Nor Fail clothes.

Women’s Physique Division NPC 2nd place in Boston,MA. Qualified for National Show Team U in NJ!

Next competition: Team U July 5-6. I am so honored to hit the stage with such amazing people!

Favorite Motivational Quote:
“For me, life is continuously being hungry”  Arnold.  To me this means, hungry for the iron, the competition, the growth, and for the sport!

Who would you like to thank?
My first thank you is to my husband Ryan, he is a big support for me and puts up with me whining when I really just want some chocolate! My mom is so supportive too. She goes to all of my shows. And a big thank you to Tammy Patnode for all of her encouragement and support in so many ways.
