Candice Keene Back In Prep.....

Candice Keene Back In Prep..........

Candice Keene 23Hey guys!
Well, I am about two weeks into my prep now and am feeling quite fantastic actually!  The week before I started, I mentally prepped myself so the first week wouldn’t be so bad.  For me, it usually takes me a good week to two weeks to get back in routine and for my cravings to go away.  I also have found myself to be in really good spirits since Day 1 of my prep, so this I believe, will determine how my final outcome will be.  Have a positive attitude people!  As this produces positive results.:)

So I have been having a little extra time on my hands since the semester ended.  This gave me a chance to do a lot of reflecting lately.  When I sit back, “outside my box,” look inside and observe my life as a whole, I find myself in deep thought.  “What if?...” is what runs through my mind.  “What if” we as individuals choose a different decision at one point that led us on a different path in our life that we have led, or are leading…Would it ultimately lead us to the same final destination?

Life is like a road.  Through the journey of our life, many roads come our way.  They come in many forms:  short, long, smooth, rocky, crooked, or straight.  But just like any road, there are corners, detours, and crossroads in life.  The crossroads we come across create the “what if” question.  What if you went down a different road by choosing a different decision?  At the time, you don’t know how that decision is going to impact your life; will it change it for the better or for the worse?  That is something you do not know for certain.  You just have to take that risk, make the decision, move forward, and face whatever good or bad thing life may throw at you.  Obviously we all hope we are making the right decisions at that time, but if the road we decided to turn on wasn’t what we had in mind, the way we choose to ‘drive’ on it is what maps out our road trip.

That is what life is…a road trip…a journey.  Always expect the unexpected, but take each mile with caution and open eyes knowing that there can be another crossroad or detour coming up just around the bend to choose from; to have the option of making another choice if need be.  Choosing a rocky or crooked terrain doesn’t necessarily mean that road will be never-ending, or that you will come out a battered car.  It means you will come out with a stronger, wiser, and a much more powerful engine.  These ‘roadblocks’ that you may encounter is simply a test of your inner strength.  When you feel you can’t seem to pass that block, this is the moment when you must forge forward with full force.  This is the instance when you will breakthrough and succeed, or overcome any adversity.

I think al 8d8ca45475178bdb81844c7364289067 lot about this.  I feel right now in my life I am in a good place, in good spirits, and have a sense of direction with where I want to go and what I want to accomplish.  The “what if” question racks my brain at times because in my life, I have encountered many crossroads and many different rugged terrains.  I always think, ‘what if I made this choice over that, or had the strength and courage to explore different avenues of life,’ would I even be where I’m at today or do what I’m doing?   Hmmm, I have no idea.  All I do know is that I have no regrets and wouldn’t want to re-create my journey leading up to today.  Everything you go through in life, good or bad, defines your individuality.  Your character and the person you are today are shaped from these experiences you have faced.  You must learn to appreciate each mile you travel, and map out and create the remaining stretch.

Another important note to remember, is to not worry about the next 100 miles in front of you or the 100 miles behind you…Concentrate on placing one foot in front of you at a time; having the faith and the patience, knowing that you will end up where you are supposed to be… your destiny.  Dedicate each day, each mile, to living in the NOW.  Embrace each day, show gratitude, and never stop dreaming; because eventually, despite what shapes and sizes the roads you choose are, you will reach your destination.  And always remember, the bumpier road doesn’t necessarily mean it’s always bad.  Life is a journey... Learn from it, grow from it, and connect with it! :)

Until next time! Xoxo…CK
