Career: Personal Trainer at Big Jon Fitness in Nampa, Idaho

 

How does your family respond to your competing?

My big brother tells me all the time how proud he is of me. He is my hero and my rock and always supports me 100%. He’s always there for me and never lets me down. I love you, Brother Bear!

 

What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term?

My ultimate goal is to become an IFBB Bikini Pro, and I’ll be competing in Mr. Jon Lindsay’s 2013 USA Championships in a couple weeks in Vegas, baby! I will compete in as many national competitions as I can until I get that pro card! In addition to earning pro status, I am working on becoming a sponsored athlete as well as a successful fitness model.

 

What's currently on your iPod?

What iPod? ;) I lost it….and I also lost my iPhone…I listen to “the deep breaths and grunts” by yours truly ;)

 

What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world?

Do you have 534005 642751205779 1646774777 na favorite exercise?

More like 3 faves! I love lateral raises because they make my shoulders look shredded and amazing, and shoulders just happen to be my favorite body part. Usually when I give compliments to people in the gym, they’re almost always about their shoulders. (Except for my boyfriend. Pretty much everything I see on him is fantastic ;) )

My second favorite exercise is squats. There are so many different variations, and what female doesn’t get an overwhelming feeling of girl-power when she sees herself squatting more than the dude across the gym?

Last but not least, I love cable machine straight-arm pulldowns for my back. Mainly because I like to look at myself sideways in the mirror.

2012 NPC Northwest Night of Champions, Spokane, Washington: 1st place and Bikini Overall winner

2013 NPC Nevada State Championships, Reno, Nevada: 8th place

Favorite Fitness Tip: 

You have to be dedicated and you have to be consistent, but you also have to be PATIENT. You did not gain that fat in a week, so therefore you won’t lose that fat in a week. You are doing this for YOU. Nobody else. It’s YOUR turn. Embrace the journey, and before you know it, you’ll be embracing your new body. 

 

Who would you like to thank?

My bosses Big Jon and Shawna are my coaches as well. I 304430 10151027737736557 1442702408 nhave them to thank for my meal plans and workout plans, and for helping me to become the trainer that I am today. I have learned so much from them, not only about clients and competing, but also about life in general. They are my mentors and a part of my family. Words cannot express how grateful and blessed I am to have them in my life.

I would also like to thank my boyfriend Jeremy for being a huge part of my support system. He’s my biggest fan, and I’m his. We motivate and push each other to be better, and he’s the best spotter in the world, together, we are unstoppable.
