Spotlight On: Elizabeth Morales

img_97531308605305Category you compete in: Women's Physique

Date of birth: May 18, 1983 (Taurus and yes I am everything they are known for ;)

Hometown: M.I.A.M.I (Fun in the sun and beaches)

Career: I currently work for the City of Hialeah Department of Water and Sewers in Engineering as a Clerk Typist (I like to use the whole name looks fancy, but I just answer phones, file, eat my meals ;), and the regular secretary work.)

What is your favorite contest prep recipe? Mmmmm... I would have to say my Chicken Chop Chop. Start with a bowl brown rice, iceberg lettuce (I like the crunch) grilled chicken cubed and spicy mustard it's so yummy. For dessert you can't go wrong with protein pancakes. 3 egg whites, 1 tbsp of 1% cottage cheese, ½ scoop of protein powder. I like using vanilla, with some apple pie spice and cook those yummy flat cakes! I like to use them as a crepe sometime and make one flat, one stuffed with chicken and spinach leafs and roll it up or make it sweet with some sugarfree jelly, sliced raw almonds, roll it up and enjoy!

What part of your physique are you currently working on? I want to put on a little more fullness to my arms and back so I am working on that. I hope I make the improvements I need to WOW the judges.

Name one piece of nutrition/fitness advice that has stuck with you. If it was easy everyone would do it. Which is true. I never gave myself a lot of credit for the changes I had made in my life, not only taking on the stage, but the journey of getting there. Dieting was so difficult and it still is, but the results of all the hard work is amazing every time, win or lose.  I feel we as competitors win because only 5% of the population can do what we do and that is an amazing accomplishment.

If you could compete in one other event (FBB, physique, figure, fitness, bikini) which would it be and why? I would DO FITNESS..... I love the flipping and HOT outfits. I always think when I see them on stage "What would I do if I was a fitness girl?".... Britney Spears... "I'm A Slave For You," always comes to my mind. I wonder if the NPC would let me use a real snake? ;)

Why NPC: It's a great organization with great promoters and chairmen

.

DSC_5414What do you like best about competing? The self gratification of reaching your goal and making it to the stage. Knowing you gave it 110%, no turning back. Shaking off the nervousness and doing your thing.

What are your goals for the future? I'm finishing up my ISSA so I want to start training as soon as possible. I want to get into fitness modeling and I want to of course have the opportunity to complete on an IFBB Pro stage.

Competition history: My first show was in March 2010 Sunshine Classic in West Palm Beach Gardens where I won in Figure Class D. It was the most overwhelming feeling. I couldn't stop trembling from the excitement.

Next competition: I will be completing at the North America and Nationals (I can't wait!)

Hobbies: ...Does training count as one of my hobbies?Laughing I love to run, draw, cook, and see movies.  I am a movie buff!

What is the biggest lesson you have learned over the years when it comes to competing? I can't say years yet! But what I have learned in the short time is that nothing comes easy. You have to work for what you want. Fight for it and don't let people bring you down.  No matter how awful you are feeling on your diet, SMILE, because some people want to see you fail and I don't give that privilege to anyone.

What is your favorite contest prep supplement? ENERGY PILL OR DRINKS!!!!! Wow..... anything to make sure I hit the cardio at 5 am as hard as possible!!! Bring on the CAFFEINE!Laughing
