What is your favorite contest prep recipe? Well I must say I do enjoy ALL food when I am getting close to a show. Lol ;) Food is gooooood! My favorite recipe would be my mixture of chocolate whey protein and peanut butter. It is exactly what I should be eating but the texture is like brownie batter. NO JOKE! Amazing! Try it. Take 1 TBS. of peanut butter and heat it up in a microwave, then in a separate container mix up your scoop of protein powder with just enough water to make it look like pudding and... Walla!!! Mix them together to form heaven. ;D P.S. Don't forget to chug your water before b/c most protein powders require at least 4-6oz. for proper digestion.

What part of your physique are you currently working on? It is all about the Booty! Booty! Bootaaay!! Of course, I am also maintaining all other body parts. I think that covers it. ;D

Name one piece of nutrition/fitness advice that has stuck with you. YOU create your body, through mental attitude, goals, choices, and determination.

If you could compete in one other event (FBB, physique, figure, fitness, bikini) which would it be and why? I would compete in figure! No doubt! I love to train hard and as my muscles mature it would be the next step.

Why NPC: Humm.. I have never thought of anything but the NPC. My biggest idols and inspirations have come up through the NPC and turned Pro, such as Jenny Lynn, Monica Brant, and Ronnie Coleman, just to name a few. I still to this day watch Jenny Lynn's- The harder I work the Luckier I get DVD and Ronnie Coleman's- Unbelievable. I get all pumped watching them push weight. :D

What do you like best about competing? Where to begin???? Laughing From the smell of the tanning products to the curlers in my hair, I love everything about competing. I am very goal orientated. I am the kind of person where, when I decide to do something, it WILL GET DONE. I love pushing myself to my limits, then breaking those limits, and pushing farther. Competitions just give me the opportunity to showcase my hard work to myself, the fans, and the judges. I want to show people that anyone can do this! YES! Anyone!

What are your goals for the future? My goal was first to go to the Olympia and I have been blessed to be able to attend the 2011 Olympia in September after placing 3rd at the Houston Pro.

I have now come to realize that my goal is to be the best role model I can be. I see so many young girls that are so pressured by the media and society to be model skinny and perfect. I just want to show them that health comes first and that we are all beautiful. I know I did not look like this during my early and teen adolescent years. I am just trying to show them that through a healthy life style they will be the best versions of themselves and should be proud of who they are.

2011 IFBB Optimum Pro Classic, Louisiana, Woop! Woop! I am soooooo looking forward to this show! I have never been to Louisiana and I am excited to have some real Cajun food. All I need is a big plate of shrimp Mmm... Mmm.. Mmm. Y'all are welcome to come join me after the show ;D

2011 Dallas Europa, Texas, I've always wanted to do a Europa show. It always looks like so much fun and I have good memories of Texas after earning my pro status there and Olympia qualification. I can't wait!!

2011 OLYMPIA!!!!!! Even though the Olympia is almost 4 month away, I am already preparing. It just seems like yesterday that I was at the 2009 Olympia Expo for the first time meeting all of the competitors. I still remember telling my husband that I wanted to be on the Olympia stage one day! Wow. I have goose-bumps. :D

Vanessa Silver one-pieceHobbies: Dancing!!!! I like to bust-out in random dance moves. It is actually pretty funny. P.S. If anyone wants to challenge me to a dance-off on Dance Central... Bring-it!! ;)

I am also a huge fan of comedy shows and movies. Some of my favorites right now are almost any movie with Vince Vaughn, the movie Evolution, and the show Wipe-out on ABC.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned over the years when it comes to competing? I have learned so much from competing, but the biggest lesson I have learned is that if you do your BEST you ARE the WINNER. I am so proud of myself for the hard work I have put in and the results I have achieved. I feel my body is amazing and the best it can be at this point. I know I can and will make improvements to my body, but knowing I am doing all that I possibly can makes me a champion in my own eyes and honestly, that is all that matters. Laughing

What is your favorite contest prep supplement?

EVP by Evogen- Elite Pre-workout in Grape flavor. It's the BEST!
