Spotlight On: Michelle Lamb

Spotlight On: Michelle Lamb

Category you compete in: IFBB BikiniStlouis3

Date of birth: 12/2/76

Hometown: West Milton, OH

Career: FedEx District Sales Manager

What is your favorite contest prep recipe? Proffee (that's coffee with Platinum Hydro wheyLaughing)

What part of your physique are you currently working on? I have a narrow frame, which makes it difficult to really define a slender waist.  I am currently working to narrow my waist, while keeping  some healthy curves in the right places.

Name one piece of nutrition/fitness advice that has stuck with you. While I have heard mixed reviews about the benefit of doing cardio in the morning, I am a creature of habit and like to get my cardio knocked out first thing in the AM.  It's a great way to start the day and I find that it puts me in a great mood Laughing

If you could compete in one other event (FBB, physique, figure, fitness, bikini) which would it be and why? Fitness - those girls are the total package.  They have great physiques and are extremely talented.

Why NPC: My husband first introduced me to the NPC in 2008.  I've enjoyed every step along the way!

What do you like best about competing? Competing has given me the opportunity to meet amazing new friends from across the country.  It also creates a healthy diversion to my day.  Being a mother and having a career can be challenging at times.  Competing allows me personal time and encourages me to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

What are your goals for the future? My goal is to compete in the Bikini Olympia in 2011.

Stlouis1Competition history: I earned my Pro Card in the C Class at Jr Nationals in 2010.  Since becoming Pro, my best placement was at the Houston Pro, where I finished 4th.

Next competition: 2011 Pittsburgh Pro

Hobbies: We recently bought a new house, which has made new hobbies of mine include painting, yard work, & decorating Laughing

What is the biggest lesson you have learned over the years when it comes to competing? Never compromise your morals to get ahead in this sport.  You won't find pictures of me on the internet that are anything but tasteful.  I believe in portraying a respectful image of the IFBB Bikini Division.

What is your favorite contest prep supplement? Where do I start?  I am lucky to be sponsored by Optimum Nutrition/ABB, which allows me access to so many wonderful supplements.  My favorites would have to be Vanilla Platinum Hydro Whey; Lemonade Amino Chewables; & Grape Amino Energy.
