Spotlight On NPC Figure Competitor: Danielle Treiger Ferreira

DSC 8553Spotlight On NPC Figure Competitor: Danielle Treiger Ferreira

Category you compete in: Figure division
Date of birth: May 28th
Hometown: Rio de Janeiro-Brazil
Career: Mom,housewife, wife, woman, lifestyle fitness coach, online training and diet coach.

If you could change into a superhero for a day who would you be and why?
Wonderwoman. I’m 1000 in just one person..lol...She is the kind of woman I admire..those who struggle for their goals without measuring efforts. We may have everything we want ,just believe in ourselves and go for it with determination and drive.

What made you begin dedicating your lifestyle to this sport?
I've always been an athletic person, did so many sports since childhood.
I began lifting  weight  at age 15, loved the idea since then to have muscles,be toned. I was fascinated with the muscular girls training hard, eating properly ... unfortunately  took me a while to start competing, to be studying, working ...

The first moment I stepped on stage, I knew that was what I really wanted to do with my life.

What approach do you take to dieting...carb cycle..keto?
I believe in a balanced healthy diet, with protein in every meal with carbs and/or fat. Eating clean  every 3 hours. Avoid eating crap. Keep it simple !
An important tip I will give for competitor is :Don’t go crazy in the off season!
Just because it’s not a contest prep time does not mean you can eat whatever you want.It is an IMPROVEMMENT season not piggy season ;)

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about competing?
First of all too many people relate people who train as stupid or having no brain, this is the worst misconception.
Another one is :  women don’t lift  because they are afraid of being too muscular. Please,It doesn’t exist !!!
Those who trains have better conditioning , less risk of injury by strengthening muscles, an increase in bone density , reduce stress, release endorphins (hormone related to pain and pleasure), elevate metabolic rate and also fat loss.

Give it a try! Live better! Be healthy !

What is the biggest lesson you have learned about YOURSELF during your contest prep?
I could not imagine how strong I am mentally. How focused and determinated.
I always go with passion toward all things I want to accomplish. The secret to get where you want is to love what you do !

Who do you look up to and admire and why?
My parents. They are my everything!DSC 8637

They are such hard workers, kind and spiritual.

They taught me so many things, one of them is when we want anything in life we must fight for it.Always try! Never give up !
I’m so blessed to have them in my life!

Competition history:
2011- IronMan  – 1st place
2011- Southern Cal  - 2nd place
2012- Arnold Amateur  – 2nd place

Favorite Motivational Quote:
·    “ Shoot for the moon.Even if you miss, you will land among the stars ”

·    “ Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what.Get started now! With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful ”

Who would you like to thank?

I’d like to thank:
My parents for all the support.
My lovely husband who is always by my side, even with my crazy moody prep..hahaha..also he is the one who helps me on my weight training. He is the best man a woman could asks for.
My baby daughter, who mimics my poses and always remembers to NOT let me be off of my diet.
City Boxing gym, San Diego.
Angel from the Ultimate Sport Nutrition store.
Kim Oddo my coach.
My friends and fans who have been supporting me with messages and encouraging words .
And last but not less(at all)..God,who has giving me strength to keep going, struggling every single day.
