This weekend marks yet another NPC Pittsburgh Championships. This long standing NPC Regional event is filled with rich tradition. It is our President's show and as an NPC Athlete, it's the time to impress. Numerous IFBB superstars used this platform to ignite their careers. It serves as a benchmark. Are you good enough to make it to the IFBB Pro League?
The 2011 rendition will be no different. It will once again draw the creme-of-the-crop NPC Athletes from across the country. They will all be on a quest. Bring their best package to the stage and make a name for themselves. If you stand out on this stage, you have done your homework and you are blessed to have the necessary factors needed to possibly become a name in the sport.
One would think that only seasoned veterans would dare step on this stage. But, that is not the case with new NPC Bikini Athlete Gemmalyn Crosby from Tampa, FL. Ironically, this 5'2 fire plug will make this her very first NPC event.
Born in the Phillipines, Gemmalyn has been active for a couple of years in sports of all disciplines. From boxing, kick boxing, & weight training, this young 23 year old exotic beauty has more than just a "rocking" Bikini physique and a cover model face. She has the "It Factor"! Loaded with charisma and a smile that lights up a room, I guarantee you Gemmalyn will work the stage like it's her 20th show. Confidence and poise are both her middle names.
It's a big step to take on the NPC Pittsburgh in your very first show. And yes, there will be some heavy hitters not just in the NPC Division but even in her height class. Gemmalyn is not afraid. Confident yes, cocky, not at all. She just knows that if you want to become one of the best, you have to compete against the best. At least every month, Gemmalyn takes the 3 hour drive from Tampa to Daytona Beach to take part in weekend Bikini Camps and pose with the IFBB Bikini elite at the Bombshell studio in Daytona Beach, FL. She participates in the grueling workouts & poses side by side with IFBB Olympia Bikini icons Nicole Nagrani, Nathalia Melo, Jaime Baird, Ali Rosen, Jennifer Andrews, Jessica Jessie & Justine Munro to name just a few. A daunting task but Gemmalyn feeds off of this level of talent.
Don't be surprised this weekend if Gemmalyn looks like a seasoned veteran!
