Tiffany Robinson IFBB Fitness Pro Journal #1

Tiffany Robinson IFBB Fitness Pro Journal #1

For about two weeks now I have been carefully thinking about what I might want to journal about. I took a deep breath and realized that I honestly need to share what I write in my personal journal. I know that others deal with issues dailyphoto big and small and why not let everyone know that “you aren’t alone”.

First off I am 26 years old and earned my IFBB Pro Card at the 2011 Team Universe in Fitness. I have been competing for one year and absolutely love it. I am still new and still considered a “rookie” and I don’t mind at all! I LOVE LEARNING and GROWING!

The hard part is that I have a full time job and I volunteer in the weight room at Troy University where I am pursuing my CSCS certification so I can train student-athletes. So where does that leave time for me to train? For a “normal” person it doesn’t but guess what I’m not normal. I make time and these are the reasons why.

Since I was in my teens as a college gymnast I have had several disordered habits from eating to body dysmorphia. Exercise keeps me sane and helps me stay on track because I know in my heart I am giving 110% and that I am in control. Being able to transform my body by exercise and diet gives me a pure feeling of satisfaction and gives me the confidence I need each day.

Secondly, I am the type of person that stresses out about EVERYTHING! I’m always worrying about everyone and everything. Being able to put myself in my own little bubble at the gym helps calm me and plan my days. It releases all of that extra tension that my body and mind shouldn’t be carrying around. So even on those days where I wake up and 4am and I finish around 7:30pm I still find time for me even if it makes me get home at 9pm where all I do is prepare for the next day and go to bed.

In the end,  I want everyone to know that you can do it and you can find time! I look after 24 college cheerleaders and help over 300 student athletes along with an 8 hour day job and I am respected because they know that I am dedicated, determined, disciplined, and I will not give up. Each day is a struggle and I have my own pains and problems but I do my best to sweat them out at the gym. My emotions run crazy on me but I caphoto2n control them with my workouts. Just always know that you can have your “me” time and you can “de-stress” just be a FIGHTER each day and even if it’s just for 20 minutes hit the gym and hit it hard!
