182014 187727957927635 100000712970315 484374 8362226 nHi Rx Muscle fitness lovers and buffs!

I’m very excited to be writing to you about my journey during the next 6 weeks. I’m preparing for the IFBB Pro World Masters Championship in MIAMI! I’m so happy to be able to make the trip back to Florida because that’s where I’m from! I have family in Miami, so it’s going to be a really special show for me. I think I'm going to use it as my holiday celebration (& hopefully show celebration), so bring on the turkey and stuffing! As I prepare for the homecoming, I have a lot of hard work ahead of me. As I mentioned, I am 6 weeks out and the two-a-day workouts are in full swing. Right now I’m feeling strong and I’m at a good point as far as my progression. My body fat is slowly coming down and I’m starting to see some muscle definition that wasn’t there a couple of weeks ago. My goal for this prep is to keep my spirits up and don’t let a workout go by without giving it my all. My strategy includes attitude, preparation, and execution. Here are a couple of things that I do that can help you accomplish your goals;

First:MisCompATTITUDE is EVERYTHING!! If you follow me anywhere online, you know that I regularly say this. I'm not saying that you aren't going to have bad days. I'm talking about how you leverage those situations and feelings into a positive result. When you feel overwhelmed, it can take something as simple as reaching out to a friend and asking for a venting session or googling 'motivation/inspirational quotes' and finding something that speaks to you. You can also jump on RxMuscle and follow competitors’ journeys...Oh, and you can tweet me anytime! Life is going to have swings and when you are on the down-swing, put a smile on your face and remember all the good reasons you are reaching for your goals (you can even write them down for a quick reminder!).

Second: PREPERATION can determine your results! Every Sunday I take 2 hours out of the day to cook my food for the week and plan my workouts accordingly. Food for the first half of the week goes in the refrigerator, the other half into the freezer. As far as my workouts, I make sure that I have enough time around my work and family hours to get everything in without neglecting certain parts of my life that are important to me. Preparing insures that you aren’t stuck in a situation without backup!

Third: EXECUTION makes your goals and dreams actually come to fruition. Without follow through, you are in the same place as where you started. Don't be a dreamer, be a do-er and do it to the best of your ability. There are rarely any do-overs in life, so when it comes to the gym, make every rep burn, every mile count, and push your limits. I know that every time I head into a workout, my music is motivating me and my full attention is geared towards the task at hand...and the result at the end of that workout is extremely satisfying. These three tips help me every day and I hope they will help you too. Until next week remember attitude, prep, and execute! Oh, and one more thing, do it all with a smile on your face!
