America's Strongest Man Announcement!

The biggest American Strongman show of the year returns to the Olympia in September.

The America’s Strongest Man® contest previously scheduled for Reno, Nevada on August 25th & 26th, has been rescheduled for September 28th & 29th at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the Mr. Olympia Weekend. “We are excited to bring ASM back to the Olympia,” said ASC President Dione Wessels, “the fan base during the weekend is always overwhelming. We look forward to introducing new events and to a great weekend of top notch performances.”

As if competing for the crown of America's Strongest Man wasn't enough, Mike Johnston of American Strongman Corporation tells me that the winner of this event will get an automatic spot at the coveted Arnold Strongman Classic in Columbus, Ohio next March! Director of the Arnold Strongman Classic Dr. Terry Todd confirmed this and is excited to have yet another proven American competing at the heaviest and most widely attended strength event in the world.

Last year's America's Strongest Man winner Travis Ortmayer got an invite to the Worlds Strongest Man event in North Carolina. Last year's winner of the Olympia Strongman Challenge Mike Burke got an invite to the Arnold where he placed in the top half of the field. This will be as exciting as it gets over the two day event at the Convention Center at the Mr Olympia weekend in Las Vegas!
