Kate Barsky’s 2nd Annual Alive and Jiving

My friend Kate Barsky from XAthletes.ca needs our help. After delivering a healthy child, within days she was in the hospital several times and was misdiagnosed more than a half a dozen times. After gaining more than 100lbs in 2 weeks time, a cardiologist happened to see her xray and asked who the patient was. She was immediately admitted with Cardiomyopathy and Congestive Heart Failure. After more than a year in the hospital and related therapies, she has come back in a big way by being a competitive strength athlete and helping promote strength sports to their fullest in British Columbia and beyond.

Kate created a night of fun and charity for the St Paul's Hospital Heart Center and she is inviting you to stop by for an evening of Pin Up Girls (I am a sucker for pin up girls!) and a little Rock-a-billy.

Come celebrate 11 years of good cardiac health with former St. Paul’s Hospital patient Kate Barsky at the 2nd Annual Alive and Jiving! This rockin’ party and fundraiser was organized by Kate to raise funds for the provincial Heart Centre at St. Paul’s Hospital as thanks for the care she received for congestive heart failure.
