Spotlight On NPC Bikini Competitor: Lacey Dunn

Category you competimage(1)e in: Bikini
Date of birth: 1/30/1995
Hometown: Peachtree City, GA
Career: Student studying Dietetics

How does your family respond to your competing?
My family supports anything I do! They know how much I love it and how hard I work and fully support anything that I put my heart in. My Mom loves getting to see me up on stage in my element performing and my Dad is just amazed with how small the bikini is! I'm so blessed to have their support!

What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term?
I've made it my goal to place top 5 in a show this year and make it to the National stage in November just for fun and experience! I also want to do well in my classes and increase my knowledge of all things health and fitness! My long term goal is to become a Registered Dietician and work with girls with eating disorders as well as a coach for contest prep to teach and show girls that they can prep in a healthy way without restricting or hurting their bodies and metabolisms! I would love to one day be in Oxygen magazine, but that's a long term bucket list goal! If I have to draw myself in it before I die, I will ha!

What's currently on your iPod?
Christian pop radio and Pop Hits on ITunes Radio

What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world?
I love working out in general and count that as my hobby! I also love helping out at animal shelters and pet adoptions in my spare time, reading, and cooking! I'm also obsessed with cats so I love shopping for new cat items I can wear.

Do you have a favorite exercise?
Yes, two actually! I love shoulder presses and lateral raises because I live for that shoulder pump!

Competition history:
My first show wimage(3)as the Orlando Europa April 12th where I placed 6th in Open and 3rd in teen. My second show was the NPC Diamond Classic where I placed 9th in Open! Both were a blast and a great experience!

Next competition:
NPC Southern States/and or NPC Prestige Crystal Cup. Then hopefully to NPC Nationals in November!

Favorite Fitness Tip:
Don't compare yourself to others. BE YOU! You are unique and created perfectly by God! Focus on yourself and being your own best, not trying to change yourself to look like someone else.

Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my family for always supporting me, loving me, and being there for me no matter what! I also want to thank my IG friends who have followed my journey from the beginning and always believed in me! I also want to thank God for giving me the strength and energy every day to do what I love!
