What kind of goals have you set for yourself? Short-term and long-term?

Short term I want to find a job that fits more in the realm of health and influences me to go to school. I want to continue going to the gym and staying fit. Long term, I plan on working to the best of my ability to gain my pro card and go to school for physical therapy in sports science. I also want a good long standing life with my boyfriend Jamie and want us to get our ducks in a row to start a serious life and family.

What's currently on your iPod?

So many different tunes are on my iPod. I tend to switch it up but I listen a lot to Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold when I workout. Cardio is a different story and tends to be Lady Gaga or Britney Spears. I listen to a lot of completely different genres.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world?

I love so much anything to do with the outdoors it’s ridiculous. Running is a great therapeutic tool for me as well as snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, and many others that follow. I do modeling on the side for fun, but have excelled in it in many ways. Modeling was partially a reason I got so hell bent into fitness and it took off. My body gravitated toward the more athletic side and just developed quickly after that. I stuck with it for many years and little did I know it would lead me to compete. I also love to sing. That was a downfall of mine for a little bit. I had a weakness for karaoke. I also adore movies. A good movie seems hard to find these days. Relaxing is one of the best hobbies I could have. Sports science has completely intrigued me and I do not want to do anything more than pursue it.

Do you have a favorite exercise?

I love to work on my glutes. Squats are something I love to perfect. I always feel amazing after a great leg day and love to watch the progression. My arms are my strength. They build almost supernaturally fast. For 5’6” I’ve managed to reach slightly over 13” biceps. Crazy I know!

Competition history: This is my 1st year competing but I don’t ever see it being my last. The Denver Open 2014 was my 1st. Placed 1st bikini novice C and 1st in bikini open C as well as overall bikini Novice C.

The Denver Northern 2014 was my second and most recent competition where I placed 2nd in Bikini Novice C and 2nd in Bikini Open E.

Next competition: I may compete in the 2014 Colorado State Championships where I’m crossing my fingers to obtain a second overall. After that I will be competing in a National show.

Favorite Fitness Tip: Keep going! Even when you think you’re ready and about to quit you have to push yourself. This is a mental game more than a physical one.

Who would you like to thank?

My trainer Adam Bonilla! He’s taken my fitness and health training to a completely new level and I couldn’t have expected more from myself. My loving partner Jamie, he has been an amazing strength and companion for me.  I could have never asked for more. I get more back in return because of the depth of love we have for each other. My friends and family for all the support, love and help when I need it most. All the fitness advocates out there that influence me to want a better body and strive to be stronger every day.
