IFBB Bikini Pro Vanessa’s Fit and Fab Lifestyle: Blog #16

Sheeww! What an exciting Olympia weekeBlog 16 Halloween Nailsnd it was! I have to say all of the men and women looked amazing. In Bikini Nathalia really brought in her conditioning and looked great. In women's bodybuilding Iris looked phenomenal and kept her title. There were some close finishes though such as Figure rivals at it again with Erin edging out Nicole for the win and in Men’s bodybuilding Kai gave Phil a definite run for his money. I have never seen Kai be so ON with his conditioning. Both shows were a joy to watch.

As for me I am back to the grind and I always seem to have more motivation after the Olympia weekend. It reminds me of all of the glitz and glam that goes along with dieting and depleting. lol :D I did also put new songs on my ipod, which always helps increase the intensity of my workouts especially cardio.

Some of my new songs are:
1. Let’s Go (feat. Ne-Yo) by Calvin Harris
2. Monster (Camo&Kroo) by Professor Green
3. Triumph (feat. Avery) by Pitbull
4. Crank It Up (feat. Akon) by David Guetta
5. Remember the Name by Fort Minor

I was also able to try a recipe that I have wanted to try for almost two yBlog16 Homemade Chickenears now. I was given Tosca Reno's book "The Eat-Clean Diet- for Family & Kids” for Christmas a long time ago and I finally was able to make a dinner dish out of it. I picked "Crispy Chicken Bites". They almost reminded me of breaded chicken; however, the recipe uses almonds, flaxseed, and wheat germ. They baked up in no time and WOW they are soooooo yummy! My husband and I had one serving and had to give the rest to his mom. haha I told him we shouldn't have them in the house even if they are healthy. It's all about portion control ;)

Ok so who is excited about Halloween coming up?Halloween to me is the happiest time of the year (Sorry, not Christmas). What other holiday do you get to dress up and have fun?? Yep, Halloween is the BEST! I must have 20 costumes in my closet, from Alice in wonderland to Xena the warrior princess. haha I have to switch it up each year so I am just collecting all of my old costumes. I think this year I am going to dress like a pilot from "Top Gun" just so I can wear my aviators (I LOVE Those sunglasses) or maybe a Roller Girl so I can skate around. Humm… I haven’t roller-skated in about 10 years so I may have to practice a bit on my skating;) Either way the costume parties are going to be a BLAST! I even put some skull & Cross-bone nail polish on already. Why not, right! It's October <l:)

I hope you all have a great week and until next time have a Fit & Fabulous time ;)

Much love,

~Vanessa~
