Bros Vs Pros III: The Squat Challenge!

BrutalAlchemyBlackWith the first two Bros vs. Pros challenges in the bag and $3,000.00 in prize money doled out to 1 bro and 1 pro, Rx Muscle is ready to bring you Bros vs. Pros III. In the first installment, Jeff "The Producer" took home $1000 for out-curling IFBB pro Mike Liberatore with an 80 pound dumbbell.  A few months later IFBB Pro Ben White took home $2,000 for cranking out 315 pounds on the bench more times than any of his 12 bro challengers.  The squat had to be next and Brutal Alchemy stepped up to the plate, yet again, bringing even more prize money to the table.  Enough prize money, in fact, to add our beloved iron sisters to the mix!

That's right, this time the women get to play too.  And not just any women-- smoke'n hott (yes with two Ts) IFBB Pro Nicole Ball has signed on to represent the IFBB Pro women in Bros vs. Pros III.   She'll square off against the scintillating Bonnie Pappas, a top national-level bodybuilder from Boston. They'll be squatting 185 pounds for reps (full reps that is, with quads breaking parallel) in the name of god and country, not to mention $1,000 first prize money.  How many reps can they do?  Nicole cautious claims, "Ten guaranteed," but she's a sly minx and that could also mean a number much higher than ten. We'll have to see. ......

The lady with the most reps wins!  The big question to the rest of you iron women out there, packing a set of wheels, is how many can you do? This contest is open for any women to show up and find out.  If you can do just one more measly rep than Nicole or Bonnie you'll take home $1,000, a tee shirt and assorted goodies from Brutal Alchemy.  If not, Nicole or Bonnie will take it home. What's Nicole going to do with the money when she cashes the check? "I'm going to buy my mother a 60th birthday present" she said, "and donate the rest to the children in India."  How's that for a pageant answer? I wonder how she feels about global warming.

The men have to get beneath 405 pounds and crank out the mother load.  Representing the Pros is 2007

Daniel Conner's Hamstring

NPC Nationals and NPC USA middleweight champion Jose Raymond.  He was originally set to squat off against Daniel Conner, a powerlifter from Florida who claims to have done 40 reps with 405, but he injured his hamstring during a workout and had to pull out.  Replacing Conner is Juan "Diesel" Morel, overall winner of the 2009 NPC New Jersey Grand Prix. "I'll get 20 to 25," he says.  "I did 18 the last time I did squats and I know I've gotten stronger since then."  That's a pretty respectable set!

So, Juan, what are you going to do with all the money you're gonna to win?  "I'm going on vacation to the Dominican Republic!  I haven't been there in years.  I haven't been anywhere or done anything in a long time, so I might as well take a trip!"

IFBB Pro Jose Raymond has a different idea: "I did 25 last week practicing for this."

What about the money, Jose? What are you going to do with all that cash?  He responded: "I'm a broke-ass bodybuilder!  I'm going to use it to pay my mortgage!"

As you can see, these guys are chomping at the bit, lashed as they are to the stout corner post of a power rack, in anticipation of bringing home $2,000 for something they were going to do anyway. Is there any other lifter out there that can handle his business under 405 in such a way? Just like with the ladies, anyone can mosey on in, cinch up a lifting belt and have at it.  Winner takes all!

You read that right! All you deep repping squatters out there better set your sights on Saturday, Marchwg_gorillalaronkon_s01 27, 2010.  This contest is open to ANYONE who thinks they have what it takes to take home the cash.  $1,000 for the women and $2,000 for the men makes Brutal Alchemy's Bros vs. Pros III Squat Challenge the richest purse in unsanctioned lifting competition. As always, Brutal Alchemy will be there handing out tee shirts and product samples and of course, the entire event will be filmed for RX Muscle.com.  Spectators are welcome, bring the kids, and enjoy a Saturday afternoon on Long Island.
