We're happy to have NPC MP Competitor Steven Byrnes img_10861307983811with us today.  He has built quite a physique that should take him far in this new division.  Thanks for joining us Steven...if you don't mind we have a few questions for you?

What are your thoughts on the Men's Physique Division? The Men’s Physique is a great addition to the NPC for the guys who just want an aesthetic look. Being in shape isn’t all about being super huge. Also making the look achievable for the average male.

Years training: 1 year, 7 months

Favorite type of training: Super sets all day.


Favorite body part to train: abs, shoulders


Favorite exercise: windshield wipers

Typical workout duration: 1:45 min


Training split: 6 day


Typical daily eating plan: 5-6 meals. Eggs, chicken, fish, all veggies, fruit a.m. only


Favorite supplement: ON amino energy


What peaked your interest in training? Girlfriend joined a gym on January, 7th 2010. I followed her in doing so and it became a passion once I realized I can control the way my body looks with proper diet and nutrition


Who influences/influenced your training? Ben Booker is the man and has a great story. Mike Baldridge is a pal from bodyspace who is a huge inspiration.


Sports: I used to be a professional bmx rider. I pay a lot of my being conditioned to that.


Special interests: computer, music, my girlfriend Lisa is the reason I even touched a weight.

What keeps you on track towards reaching your goals? Staying lean actually does because you can see the results all the time, unlike bulking where you don’t see progress until you cut down.
