Amanda Doherty accepted compete in Arnold Classic + 8 week out update!

Amanda Doherty last year placed 6th in the 2013 IFBB Australian Pro Grand Prix and was an impressive 2nd out of 6 Australian Pro girls on that stage only being beaten out by Rinnah Schmid. 

Amanda has been officially invited to compete in the 2014 Arnold Classic held in Columbus, Ohio and she's taking that invitation to compete in the figure class and will go on one week later to compete in the 2014 Australian Pro GP. This is not Amanda's first time competing as a pro at the Arnold Classic; the last time was 11 years ago in 2003 where she competed in the Fitness category.

Here is an update Amanda posted via for facebook page with the accompanying picture...

"Update! 8 weeks until #arnold2014 #msinternationaland I can't wait!! I feel like I'm right on track & have started to hit things a bit harder this week... Feel like I'm on a roll.. DID YOU KNOW that last time I competed at the Arnold Classic I was the youngest competitor.. This time round I will be the oldest! Maybe with the most children too! Here at Rx Muscle Australia we wish Amanda all the best for the 2014 Arnold Classic, as she'll be the sole Australian IFBB Pro flying the flag for us on the Pro level.

*There will be several Amateur competitor competing in the 2014 Arnold Classic Amateur contest.
