IFBB Bikini Pro: VaVa Vanessa’s Fit and Fab Lifestyle: Journal #4

A BIG HELLO to all you superstars out there!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I know I did….and it all started when I received my Battle For The Olympia 2011 DVD in the mail.  I love watching training DVD’s!  It gets me puDVDsmped and I learn a lot of new tricks.  It’s always nice to see what other competitors are doing to build certain body parts.  Ok, ok, back to the DVD.  Well, I originally bought it as a birthday present for my husband, which is this Wednesday.  Happy Birthday my love!

I gave it to him early because I like to give him one gift a day leading up to his birthday, (it’s on June 6th)….  Anyways, we were watching it and when we turned on the 3rd disk, whom did I see… ME!!!! Woop, woop.  What a great way to start off my weekend! I immediately yelled to my husband,“Hey look it’s me, look, look!!!!  I instantly started reminiscing about the 2011 Olympia weekend.  What a dream come true. Aaaaaaaah… that was a great show. I love to compete and can’t wait to get back on that stage.  For two years straight I competed in 13 shows all over the United States.  I loved traveling and competing and can’t wait to do it again.

I think DVDs are great. I always make a point to purchase the DVD’s from my shows, so I can critique how I did and where I can improve.  It’s also fun to look back and see how much you have improved and how far you’ve come. Speaking of DVDs and learning, I also have quite a collection of of DVD’s from other athletes (guys and girls) as well, that have helped me in my training. I have always felt if you want to succeed in anything you must make iprotein mixturet a study. It is amazing that even though most of the athletes are in different divisions the mind set is still the same.

One good thing about an off-season program is that I get to make my favorite meal. It is so simple and soooooo yummy. I use 1 scoop MRM Dutch Chocolate protein powder with about 1 TBS of water (maybe an additional 1 TSP of water if it needs a little more) and mix it all together into a pudding. I then chop 4 half walnuts and sprinkle it on top, and then in to the freezer it goes for 4 hours. Once it is frozen, take it out and let it sit for a two minutes and then it is done. It is so good, it reminds me of fudge. Sinfully good! ;) But remember to drink plenty of water.

Speaking of Sinful, Monday we leave for Las Vegas again! Woowooo!! This time it is for my husband’s birthday. YAY!

Well, until next week stay Fit and Fabulous Everyone!
