Spotlight On Womens Physique Competitor: Tracy Weller

Spotlight On Womens Physique Competitor: Tracy Weller

Category you compete in: WDSC 0492omen's Physique since  North Americans 2011.

Figure for my 1st year, my 1st competition was Aug 2010.

Date of birth: March 11, 1973

Hometown: Loganville, GA

Career:  Mother,(2 kids, Daughter, Courtney, turning 21 this Fall & a son, Tristen, who will soon be 12), I am also a learning coach & home school my 6th grader, Tristen.  I am a Personal trainer, a Tan Salon owner, Body Heat tan studio in Loganville, Ga, & we do spray tanning at all the local GA NPC shows, & I am also a Visalus Distributor.

What is your favorite contest prep recipe?

My Oat waffles.

1 cup old fashioned oats & 1 & 1/2 c liquid egg whites, blend w cinnamon & waffle in iron for 10 min.

Add1 pack of Splenda til 6 wks out from a show.

I enjoy my Cellucor Cor Whey Protein in them if Im further than 8 wks out from a show. Just 1/2 scoop of the Peanut butter Marshmallow or Cinnamon Swirl & they are delish!

Add a tbsp pb &/or jelly 20 wks out... :)

What part of your physique are you currently working on?  Back, lats & legs.  Always overall conditioning.

Name onimage (3)e piece of nutrition/fitness advice that has stuck with you. That hour in the gym is important, but its what you do with the other 23 that is the key to maximizing results!

If you could compete in one other event (FBB, physique, figure, fitness, bikini) which would it be and why?  Fitness.  Having danced since I was 4 years old, I wish I had kept some of the flexibility to be able to do the strength routines.

Why NPC: It was by a chance meeting with the NPC Chairman of GA, Ty "Ropeman" Felder, for my very first show that led me to NPC after discovering I really wanted to be fit enough for the stage, after attending the Olympia in 2006 & then the Arnold Classic in 2007.

What do you like best about competing?

I love EVERYTHING about it! The food prep, the discipline it takes to come in conditioned, the motivation it gives others that follow my journey, the friends I've made that I share the stage with & the crazy things you crave & stuff your face full of afterwards that always reminds you why you don't eat like that anymore :)

The fact that I live with my "coach" who is always pinchin me to see what changes, if any, need to be made daily.  His passion in my journey & the fact that he's my hubby & supports me all the way & is more proud of me than anyone, fills me with such elated emotions when I'm on that stage.  I am addicted to the sport & will be on stage as long as my body will allow.

What are your goals for the future? I turned 40 this Spring & I had hoped to turn pro this year, to be able to make it to the Olympia stage for Physique debut 2013.  After placing 2nd in open & masters at North American Championships last year & then 3rd at Nationals, I was 1 place away from Pro 3 times & figured I was close to making that dream a reality.  However, after placing 5th @ Jr Usa, 7th @ Jr Nationals & most recently, 4th @ Masters Nationals, I am hopeful that I can make it happen @ North Americans, where top 2 go pro this year.  I will then prepare for my Pro debut & aim for an Olympia invite for 2014!

Competition histDSC 2181ory:

1st show was NPC Coastals in August 2010, where I placed 5th in masters & 6th in the open Figure division.  That show started my addiction.

2011:

Arnold Amateur Figure, 16th place

NPC Atlantic

N PC Eastern Seaboard

Jr Usa, 7th

Golds Classic, 2nd in masters & 3rd in open

Team Universe, 16th

NPC Georgia, 1st

(I came in smoother than my shredded physique I brought the previous week to Team U to earn that win.  This was when I decided to lose the shoes & try physique.)

North Americans, physique, 7th

Nationals, 11th place

(Nats 2011 injured calf 3 wks out & legs weren't conditioned)

2012:

NPC Eastern Seaboard 2nd

Jr. Usa 4th

Team U 13th

North Americans 2nd and 2nd

Nationals 3rd

2013:

Jr. USA 5th

Jr. Nationals7thimage

Masters Nationals 4th

Next competition: North American Championships 2013

Hobbies:  Painted childrens murals when I was younger & had the time, way before working out for more than 30 min a day was part of my life.  I love being on the water, boating, or in a jeep off road, especially out west.  I enjoy movies & reading a few of my favorite authors, Mary Higgins Clark, James Patterson, Nicolas Sparks.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned over the years when it comes to competing?  You have to be happy & confident with the package you bring to the stage & never get discouraged if you don't place 1st.  There can only be 1 in the top spot.  You just have to keep doing your best til you get there.

Your body is your trophy every time & the 1 that everybody sees, not which place trophy that sits on your shelf.  You are a winner every time you show up.

What is your favorite contest prep supplement?

Cellucor C4 pre-workout (fruit punch & green apple)

Cellucor BCAA post-workout (watermelon)image (4)

Cellucor's D4 thermal shock & Super HD for my fat burners
