This weekend marked another action packed weekend for the IFBB Men's Physique division for both the Open and Masters groups. Twenty five men squared off in the Open class at the IFBB Greater Gulf States Pro show while thirteen took to the boards in the 35+ Masters.
This weekend marked the second chance this year for NPC Men's Physique competitors to make the jump to the IFBB at the Jr. Nationals. The turnout was incredible for the MP division. It was only outdone in quantity by the number of ladies in the bikini division. These two divisons made up roughly half of the total number of competitors to take the stage. Whereas it took Men's Bodybuilding, Women's Bodybuilding, Women's Physique, Fitness and Figure to make up the other half.
The Omaha Pro show is now in the record books. Fourteen MP Pro's took to the stage in hopes of earning their place on the Olympia stage and earn some prize money.
This weekend marked yet another huge IFBB Men’s Physique happening. For the second time in 2014, two MP Pro Shows took place on the same weekend. On this round we had the Toronto Super show and the Mile High Pro Show.
This weekend in South Carolina at the Jr. USA's only three pro cards were awarded to MP competitiors. That may sound like a lot of cards, but not when you consider the huge number of MP competitors to hit the stage. Anymore it isn't a surprise to see the MP division dominating a contest.
The results are in on a stacked MP Pro class at the 2014 NY PRO. There were many familiar faces and physiques taking the stage as well as a number of gents newer to the pro ranks.
What a weekend in the IFBB for the Men's Physique Division. Nearly 40 IFBB MP Pro's hit the stage looking to take home the big prize of first place and an automatic bid to compete on the Olympia stage. When the dust had settled, Jason Poston walked away with that much coveted 1st place. Michael Anderson grabbed second while Denis Gusev snagged third. Here are the official results from a hard fought battle in Dallas this weekend at the Europa Supershow.
This
weekend marked the second largest turnout of IFBB Men's Physique Pro's on a single stage. Thirty four of the top physiques in the world took to the boards under the lights with the goal of earning the title "IFBB Pittsburgh Pro Men's Physique Champion."
While working to defend his 2013 title this year, Mark Anthony Wingson, had a ton of incredible competition. Looking at the line-up from top to bottom, there are no weak physiques. All of the men that showed up had the potential to place very well. That said, those that were knocking at the door and most noticeably threating to take the crown were Jason Poston and Michael Anderson whom both came into the show in incredible shape and with impeccable conditioning.
In the end, Mark Anthony was able to defend his title. Jason Poston and Michael Anderson finished second and third respectively while Anton Antipov and Tyler Anderson grabbed fourth and fifth to round out the top five.
