I have read that creatine monohydrate is rendered useless seconds after coming in contact with water. is it worth buying the kre-alkalyn,buffered creatine?

DP: Creatine can convert to creatinine (a waste product) if its left in an acidic solution. When you ingest regular creatine monohydrate, a percentage of it is absorbed before turning to creatinine (the conversion is not immediate).  You don't utilize all the creatine you take in, but if you take 5g twice daily, You'll more than likely absorb enough (3g is ideal to actually absorb).  Kre-Alkalyn is unique since it buffers the stomach acids from breaking down the creatine monohydrate; however, it still doesn't address the poor solubility (absorbability) of powdered creatine monohydrate.  Look for my new liquid CREALYZE.  It's 100% stable in solution, it's protected from the stomach acids, and it's 100% soluble in it's liquid media; therefore, it's 100% absorbable.  CREALYZE should be available for purchase in AUGUST.

I have a show next weekend.. I plan on enjoying myself saturday night, but I have another show 3 weeks after that show. Most competitors tell me to give myself the weekend to eat whatever I want then get right back on my diet monday. How do you feel about that or should I get right back on my diet sunday?

DP: With 3 weeks inbetween shows, you can eat some extra calories on  Saturday night and Sunday and still get back on the diet Monday.

Dave, saw the post that you mentioned coral calcium supplement. Could someone use Calcium Caseinate? Such as 1scoop wpi 1scoop Calcium Caseinate with all nat pb or mac nut oil for the last meal to get calcium in the diet?

DP: Why would you use a crappy protein in order to get calcium? Take in a good calcium supplement and stick with whey isolate for your protein.

In recent times through experimentation lifters have discovered a new and exciting way of extracting even better results from the same amount of GH, and as an added benefit without the all too often experienced negative side effects like carpal tunnel syndrome, water retention or aching joints. This method involves taking your weekly total of GH you would use over a 7 day period, dividing it by 3 and using 1/3 post workout after 3 selected workouts each week. Now obviously the individual shots will be bigger, but because their infrequent the body doesn't grow accustomed to them and the side effects never show. In the 2 plus years I've been counseling lifters on their GH usage not 1 has experienced any side effects using GH this way, yet the muscle gains and fat loss results they experience are far better than ever. I've had guys who couldn't get any results from daily injects suddenly gain a solid 15lbs in 4-8 weeks by doing nothing more than switching their cycle from daily shots to the 3/week protocol. The cycle would look like this.

 

9-10ius GH 3 times per week, post workout, preferably IM injection

DP: I don't buy it. I found that the best way to minimize side effects and maximize results is to take a low dose GH every day-- 2-4iu daily.  Wouldn't you rather have an IGF-1 spike every day rather than every other day?

I also never said "carbs pre workout were no issue". GH needs to taken on an empty stomach, food/carbs raise insulin levels and blood sugar levels which both interfere with GH's actions, mainly it's signal to increase IGF-1 levels, which is the single biggest contributor to the muscle gains we get from GH. So either eat long enough ahead of time for the food to be gone post workout and blood sugar levels to normalize, or at a point where you feel the exercise from the workout will cause gastric emptying. I have no idea what that time will be because it will be different for every single person.

DP: I feel you need to take GH with food to keep your blood sugar stable.  When GH causes the release if IGF-1, you will get an insulin-like response and you'll need some food in you to avoid crashing.

Hi Dave, In one of your earlier threads you mentioned that the poster should go to a podiatrist and get orthotics for his shoes and his legs would get bigger. I am going to look into this but just want to make sure I understood this correctly and what exactly should I say to the Pod, " I want orthotics so I can have bigger legs?" Is this reasoning that you recommend this is that the orthotics help utilize the muscles of the calves,etc. more? Thanks.

DP: You need/want orthotics so you can stand and walk correctly.  Almost everyone has an irregularity in the biomechanics of their feet and orthotics correct this and allow you to engage your leg muscles more effectively.

When dieting, what's the point of doing 30 mins of cardio to burn 300 calories, when you can just eat 300 less calories per day etc.?

 

Is there any difference really? Whets your opinion on this?

DP: My diet is set up to give you just enough protein/fat to retain your muscle and get through your daily functions. Any less of either macronutrient and you would risk losing muscle, whereas adding low intensity cardio exclusively burns fat.

1. There is no benefit to using this over a most more affordable carb product such as waxy maize starch.

DP:

1. I have never found anyone that couldn't lose weight on my diet. Some people need more or less calories and different amounts of cardio, but it can always work.

2. Now that I am done competing I eat a balanced diet everyday that includes protein/fats/ and yes, some, carbs.

Dave, I've been doin Keto for nearly 14 weeks. The 1st 10 weeks did the norm diet for 200 lb male. The last 4weeks I cut my cheat and I did pro/fat one day, the pro vegg 2 days and so on. At the end of this week I'm gonna have a cheat again and feel pretty good w/where I'm at and was goin to just pick the reg diet back up. So, my question is, is it alright just to pick it back up, or do I need to ease back in the norm keto diet again after goin pro/vegg pro/fat days? My other question is, do you think it'll be possible to continue to lose weight goin back to the standard diet from the pro/fat pro/veg days or what? thanx

DP: You are going to be increasing your calories when you go back to all protein-fat days, so you probably won't lose weight like you had been. If you need a break from the diet, then you can't expect to keep losing weight.

Dave, if someone was going to have gyno surgery ,and they were using aas, hgh and all the recomended supplements (fish oil , evening primrose, juice plus calcium and

a multi vit. What could he stay on and what should he stop and for how long

DP: You're going to have stop all nutritional supplements at least 2 weeks before the surgery...make sure you get specific guidelines from your doctor.

Are your diets compatitable with DC Training?

 

Dave, I've been on your high protein/moderate fat/low carb ketogenic diet for a good solid month now and have lost 17 lbs now nice and slow. I will admit I've fallen of the ketokart at times but get back on more determined. I am now trying to add in the DC training along with your diet keeping in mind that I can't go as heavy when cutting weight at the same time. My question is:

Is the DC Training philosophy a good one to combine with your diet?

That's both for the cutting diet and off season diet.

I'm only on the basic supps. like protein, omega3, multi vit., and Nutrex's Lipo6 X if need for energy, I work 3rd shift so scheduling things can be difficult but I do what I gotta do. Would like to compete one day...LOL!

DP: I believe that any training program can work with my diet except for one that uses ridiculously high volume (which is a bad idea on any diet).  DC training is good high intensity program. Personally, I prefer to do a few more exercises.

Question #1- Have you ever met someone who couldnt do AAS due to gyno issues? No matter what they do, they get gyno even after having it removed 1 or more times?

DP: If your gyno is correctly removed, the gland will be completely gone and it can't come back. Make sure you see an experienced and reputable surgeon such as DR BLAU (see gynecomastia forum)

Hey dave! I have gained from 112-120 following a diet similar to your mass program (Around 1.5 grams protein, 1.5 grams carbs, and moderate fat). Along the way I of course hit stalling point and so bumped up fats and protein respectively and had gotten to the point where I was eating 240 grams protein (about 2 grams per pound) and around 80-90 grams fats. I have gotten to the point to where adding more protein would not be much more beneficial (or would it) and adding more fats doesn't seem to be doing anything. I am thinking of trying around 230-240 grams carbs (up from 200 I had been eating). This would put me at 2 grams per pound of carbs, 2 grams per pound pf protein, and 80-90 grams fats (and around 2700-2800 calories...guess I just have a faster then average metabolism)> DO you think this is fine. My carb sources are waxy maize, gatorade, ezekiel bread/cereal, quinoa, sweet potatoes, blueberries, apples, strawberries, bananas, oatmeal, etc. Also, I get in about 80 ounces of water a day and 30-40 grams of fiber (6 grams coming at night from konysyll/psyllium husk fiber in a shake before bed). Do you think this is fine? Thanks and just wanted to let you know I enjoy listening to all your stuff on MD and all over the net!

DP: Great job learning your body and carefully experimenting to see what works. This looks great!

With most supps, people usually recommend taking them for a set period of time, then taking time off to clean your system out. Is this something that would be done with your Somalyze and Lipolyze? Or since they are stimulant free continued use through out a good chunk of time on your keto, there would be no drop off/desensitizing? Looking into givng them a try, guy at my gym is currently using and loves the feeling and the sleep, if best to cycle want to get the full amount so I dont have to worry about running out prior to the optimal length of time.

DP: I recommend taking Lipolyze and/or Somalyze for 15-20 weeks before you take a break. This will ensure maximum effectiveness.

DP: Start with the diet for a 200lb man...at that high bodyfat this will suit your body better.

Hey Dave, when doin cardio and walkin on the treadmill w/no incline at a speed of 3, my heart rate hardly even reaches a 100 according to the machine. So, should I bump it up in speed/incline? Or somethin else you may suggest?

DP: That's fine...you can stay at that heart rate; you're still burning fat.  It's just that your heart is in good shape

I've read that you recommend more frequent injections, even with longer esters. I have a pretty simple question for you about using sustanon and masteron (drost propionate) and tren enanthate. The sust and masteron I'll be using 4X per week, 1cc of each in the same injection (Monday PM, Wed PM, Fri PM, Sun AM). This has worked well for me in the past. Should I include 1/2cc tren enanthate with these 4 injections, or do a separate 2cc injection of the tren alone since it is the enanthate ester?

DP: Just take the tren in the same injection with the others.

hey dave, i dont eat too many vegetables while on ur diet do can i just take in the recommended fiber thru supplements? and how much fiber should i take in exactly per day? im 190pounds

DP: You can use my Fiberlyze supplement 2x per day...each serving provides 9g of fiber (soluble and insoluble).

i would love to use isolyze, but i keep kosher, is isolyze kosher? (no animal fats/parts) other then 100% whey?

DP:  There's nothing else in ISOLYZE.  It's that pure.

On just test and my diet I get like these little red spots on my skin.

 

They look like pimples but don't pop, instead they bleed most of the time.

 

This only occurs when dieting.

 

I'm not taking any clen, or t3 or growth of any kind.

DP:  They sound like little infections.  Are you sure your testosterone is "clean"?

What does your Pro/Veg day look like? Are veggies at every meals with no use of oils like macadamian nut oil butyou keep the Omeag3s and 6s? And what about the egg meal? Appreciate the help.

DP: A protein/vegetable day is when I have my clients cut out the dietary fat (from food; not supplements) in the diet and have them add 1 cup of green vegetables to 1-2 meals. Green beans, broccoli, and similar greens are the best bet.  You still use your EFA supplements. Use 10-12 egg whites for the egg meal.

I am following your off-season mass diet.

 

What protocol should somebody follow if they needed to do a period of high intensity exercise, during a sport?

 

For example: Pre-sport carbs and fats, followed by protein and carbs post exercise? what would you advise?

DP: Eat a meal of slow burning carbs along with protein and fat before your event (1-2 hours) and then immediately after have a meal that is primarily carbs and protein-- it's just like your weight training workouts.

Dave have you ever used peptides like CJC-1295 and GHRP-6?

DP: I haven't tried them but my sources tell me that they are nowhere near as potent as HGH.  Remember, you get what you pay for.

 

Dave if omega 3s are anti-inflammatory and u need inflammation for mucle growth why is it important to have them in the diet

To add to this ...... how comes, well respected trainer Charles Poliquin suggests up to 30g per day for limited periods (then down to 15g per day) and has said this has helped add lbs of muscle to some of his athelets frames?

 

it's all so confusing!

 

By the way, do you know Charles? have you ever met/spoken to him? I would love to see a few of the top trainers/dietitions about, get together and have a weeks worth of discussion on diet/nutrition!!! I bet you would be able to teach the 'medical' industry a thing or two!

DP: They are in fact anti-inflammatories; however, we consume so many foods that are inflammatory in the body (anything containing arachidonic acid such as chicken and meat) that there is no cumulative negative effect on muscle growth.  If you add a significant amount of omega-3's it will throw off the balance with omega-6 and not be beneficial. I don't recommend  a dosage as high as Polliquen suggests (unless you're eating a ton of red meat).

Hey dave, i'm a big fan of your approach to bodybuilding and the knowledge u have . I would like to know if clenbuterol can trigger a false positive for amphetamines as i have learned that similiar asthma meds. have the ability to do so?

DP: No, clen will not give you a false positive.

I would really appreciate sacred moment of truth on the reality of how people get to make a living our of the sport

 

1) Do nowadays an IFBB-PRO make a good living out of the sport ? Or the sport is still making a living out of them ?

 

2) Have you ever heard of any teenager that got a contract from a supplement company simply for having a good potential in the sport? ( even before doing a show ) ?

 

3) If potential is seen in teenagers in others sports such as footbal,basketball, baseball , people encourage teens to pursue a carrer as an athlete, for obivous FINANCIAL REASONS ( let's also take in consideration that the individual also likes their chosen sport ). Why do you think this still doesn't happen in bodybuilding ? Is the bad rep that the media built on the sport ?

 

4) Whats the future of the sport in your opiniton Dave ?

Will it grow more or will if shift more towards bodybuilding not body-freaking ?

It doesn't makes sense at all to me! Everyone wants to LOOK BETTER and(make more money as well). I think that bodybuilding is the sport of the future, because I feel that people are more concerned about their physical appearence more than ever , just as their overall health. If bodybuilding is the extreme physique sculpting sport why isn't it taken as the most rewardeding sport as well ( from the financial point of view..... ) ?

1. Very few are able to make a good living. Some, like Jay Cutler, are great at self promotion and marketing and that is how you make the money. Appearances, videos, signings, etc.

2. Not likely.

3. It's not mainstream and the money in bodybuilding is a small fraction of the other sports.

4. I'm trying to do my part to make bodybuilding more entertaining and try to make it more fun and appealing.

The T2 supplement you mentioned on heavy muscle radio, would it work well combined with T3 and clen?

DP: It could be a good addition, but we still don't know. I am researching it! For now, if you're using T3 I wouldn't add T2. It would probably be too much.

in my diet i've been eating fish and eggs that keeps me tighter do you think its necessary to change to chicken when cutting sodium?

DP: You only need to cut sodium the day before the show...the naturally occurring sodium in fish and eggs will not hurt you.

Another squat question. For optimal growth and hormonal response, do you suggest doing low bar or high bar squats?

DP: For bodybuilding, stick with high bar squats. This allows you to stay more upright and not use your back as much.

Long AAS CYCLE QUESTION

 

I HAVE ABOUT A YEAR UNTIL MY NEXT SHOW AND I NEED TO PUT ON ABOUT 15LBS OF LEAN MASS. I WAS WONDRING HOW I SHOULD BREAK UP THE CYCLES. I JUST STARTED 1000MGS t AND 600eq AND 5IUs OF GROWTH. IM WONDERING HOW LONG I CAN RUN THIS (10-20 weeks?) and then what. i know what i need to do 12 weeks out but that still leaves a few months in question. thanks bro

DP: To get an entire cycle planned you need to hire me - this is too long for the Q&A...to answer your first question, run this cycle for 16 weeks, then run PCT.

Dear God of training-knowledge,i'm 17 to start of with,and yes unfortunately i have juiced but very little and responsibly (Everyone use prohormones so why not use the real deal that's really working and less harsh to your body?) so please don't bring that up,thank you.

 

I've been training 1 and a half year now,my arms have gone from about 12-13 inch to 17,7-18,2 Cold and flexing ofcourse i think i have pretty long arms (no not gumby arms like Goodrum,but still long....) My bodyfat is about the same as i started , so no i'm not a fat fuck.

 

Anyway i still can't get any thickness in my arms especially the longer up you go in my biceps the less thick they are ,i don't know if it's my mind tricking me because i usually have a big sweatshirt in the gym.I'm getting so frustraded in the "relaxed face front" pose/when i have my arms fully extended because i lack so much thickness,i don't think its just in my head.

 

I've tried every damn exercise,you have any advice God?

DP: Your body is far from maturing and your muscles have not totally developed. 18" arms are huge for your age. You have to be patient. Don't try anything extreme; ultimately, you'll regret it.

An Italian study indicates that men suffering from erectile dysfunction report increased testosterone levels if the use Cialis or Viagra.Three months of treatment with the medication increased testosterone levels by about 50%. Cialis produced greater testosterone increases than Viagra.

Is Cialis worth adding your supplements.

DP: If you're actually already taking exogenous testosterone, the addition of CIALIS won't don't anything measurable. If you're a natural competitor, you may get a slight boost; however, this test increase is usually noted in endurance athletes.

Dave, I have a question for you. I am guy who is return to bodybuilding after doing distance running for a few years do you have any tips for someone who is trying to gain muscle mass/ weight without gaining fat and going from 135 lbs to 175 lbs besides eat a lot.

DP: Get a structured plan...there is a ton of information on this thread and all over Rx Muscle. Try my mass gaining meal at the beginning of the thread.  You need to eat the right foods to make gains.

DP: You can't do anything to prevent this.  You might, however, want to switch anabolic compounds 8 weeks into the cycle. Swap out the deca for EQ (200mg every other day)...Then, at the end of the cycle run my recommended PCT.

DP: My recommended doses are all over the thread..you can decrease them to save money and still get results, but the results will be reduced.  For the PCT, search the thread - I laid out my entire protocol.

Hi Dave, on your mass gaining diet, do you recommend to consume less carbs on non-workout days or stick with same amount of carbs on workout and non-workout days?

DP: Eat the same amount every day. You grow on the rest days!

DP: Start with 250mg of testosterone cypionate and 200mg of equipoise every other day for 8-10 weeks. Keep an anti-aromatase on hand if you experience any estrogenic side effects.

I've been on a ketogenic diet for about 16 weeks now, and I notice that recently I sometimes smell like vinegar or ammonia when I sweat heavily. AAS I am running are test and tren.

 

What could be causing this?

DP:   You might be producing a lot of acid wastes.  I'd increase my fiber, calcium, and water intake to help flush out all the toxins and waste products.  Make sure you're not overdoing the dosages of drugs!

Dave, I heard on the show with "random knight" that you didn't recommend DNP use because you viewed it as a lazy mans way to lose fat. How beneficial would moderate DNP use(400mg a day for a 220ish lb man) be on a ketogenic diet and low intensity cardio regimin? Would it work "too fast" and cause the person to have to struggle to hold their conditioning for weeks on end? It seems like a win win situation, but I might not be seeing the downfalls. Thanks in advance.

DP: It's slightly toxic and it completely saps your energy to train.

hi Dave, they are offering me a trenbolone of 200mg. per cc, but i have seen most trenbolones are 100mg per cc, could this product be fake?

DP: It could be, but I can also see an underground lab making a stronger dose. You just have to know and trust your sources.

Calves are a slow twitch muscle fiber, and I just read John's Guide to killer abs, Ive been following it, and Ive seen results within days

 

In there he explained why it was a good thing to do abs everyday to get the best results, since they are the same type of muscle would it be a good idea to do calves everyday as well, to get the same results?

 

If so or if not what would be the optimal frequency and set/rep ranges?

DP: Calves can be trained 1-2 times per week and you should use a variety of rep ranges.  I prefer 15-rep sets but only 2-4 sets total.

Hey Dave, can one eat the protein powder and peanut butter meal in a pinch, as in more than the scheduled 2-3 times a day? Say you get stuck out of the office where your steak or chicken is, but you have an emergency kit in your car with bottled water, protein powder and a jar of peanut butter.

DP:  That's fine and it's the best solution to ensure that you stick to your diet.

Aqualyze

Would you have your booth athletes take Aqualyze before working booths to look their best? I assume its a safer alternative than other RX diuretics? And will it work as well?

 

Assuming you did take Aqualyze and work a booth, will there be any problems/rebounds with water if you stay hydrated the day of working?

DP: I don't recommend that my athletes get dehydrated before working a booth for me; we aren't that tough at Species...lol.  But if you have an appearance or photoshoot and want to lose some water, it's a great way to do it safely.  You'll shed the water and not have the risks associated with the use of stronger prescription diuretics.  You can also quickly rehydrate just by adding in water and electrolytes.

My query - if ketostix are unreliable and if you have been spot on with the diet - how can one tell there is ketosis? Any other way?

 

I mean if your diet is in any way calorie restricted and if you're doing any cardio - any loss of weight may be a product of those two rather than the ketogenesis

DP: The easiest way to tell if you're in ketosis is by "feel"...you should have a decent amount of energy, low occurrence of cravings, and stable moods.  You can bet the farm that if you're following my diet plan perfectly, you're in ketosis.

DP: I only recommend real prescription grade HGH...that's the only way you know what you are getting.

DP: I prefer longer cycles of 16 weeks broken into two to three 6-8 week mini-cycles.  You need to stay ON for longer durations to ensure that new gains are made permanent by the body.

Dave i read your training recommendation for bulking, but how about during the keto, ive read the 75% fat/25% pro and lift to get into keto then around 65% fat, 35% pro do the low heart rate cardio to burn fat once in keto, then the cheat meal, you say the last meal of the day 1 x a week , can this be more complex carbs or just simple carbs to get back into the keto easier next day, thanx dave

Hi Dave I think that the toxicity of methyl orals are overblown, I was wondering compared to alcohol how much does an oral affect the liver such as, 50mg oral Winstrol equates to how much alcohol?

DP: Try to use more isolation movements like single arm cable laterals and machine laterals.

Hi, Dave, I was wondering why you recommend cycling off glucosamine/MSM for 3-4 weeks. I have been taking arthrolyze for 4-5 months nonstop and its really alleviated my shoulder pain. I am hesitant to stop using it thinking that the pain will return. Thanks

DP: Your body can become accustomed to any supplement and it'll lose its effectiveness. If you take a break, when you re-start you'll find even more relief.

hey Dave I thought u might know a bit on some meds, i had to get amoxicillan for an infection while back and heard that there's fish amoxicillian that is the same thing/quality for a much cheaper price, is it basically the same stuff besides its made for fish vs. humans ,heres one site

DP: Don't mess around with this stuff. If you need it for an infection, regular amoxicillin isn't very effective against skin bacteria.  Augmentin (a better version of amoxicillin) is usually what's prescribed.

i just had a 7 fold caliper and my folds on the thighs and abs are twice bigger than the ones on the other parts of the body. is this estrogen related? will a anti estrogen help me balancing the fat deposits in the body? or is this just genetic? thanks

DP: Its probably just genetic. We all have different fat stores. You might still benefit from reducing your estrogen and maximizing testosterone.

1- To protect our joint from injuries beside the correct training , do you recommended the supplement all over the year ( all my life should i take the supplement ) ?

what did you mean by the extra fat in the diet ?

DP:

1. Try Species Arthrolyze (which contains high dose glucosamine and msm).  Take it all the time.  Do you take a break from eating protein?

2. The extra fat is the red meat, fatty fish, added oils, and nuts/nut butters.

1. Some people use Chromium, and 5-HTP AND extra minerals while on various types of keto diets. I know the Palumbo diet is a little different but I just wanted to know your thoughts...

DP:

1. They are unnecessary. You can try 5-HTP for relaxing, but it's not essential.  You're body can manufacture the serotonin from amino acids.

2. You might want to give your body a break from it after about 6 months of use. 4 weeks is usually adequate.

DP:

1. Don't bother with insulin while dieting; there;s no benefit. The one cheat meal per week will have enough of an insulin response on its own.

2. I don't recommend Lasix; use Dyazide instead.

3.  Get the vein taken out if it's non-functional.  The bumps are usually caused by the valves in the vein becoming incompetent.

DP: Stay on whatever you have been using prior to the last week of the show. I don't make any changes.

1. That would be fine before the workout if you digest it well.

2.   Too much of anything is no good.  Too much protein can indeed slow fat loss.   It might even take you out of ketosis (although that's unlikely).

Big DP, most people say to stay away from gear if your bf% unitl you can see abs. What about Clen, since it is for fat lose, will results still be only noticeable when dropping that final amount, or can someone with a higher bf%(we will estimate at upper20%) use it with good results? I know it is a slow and steady race, but who does not want an edge. Just to add on to this, I will prbly be looking into taking your Lipolzye and Somalyze sometime in the next month once I get some extra spending $, prior to going the way of Clen . But never too early to start researching/exploring the option. Hopefully the diet and an increase in my cardio will break the minor blockaide that I am at, got to exhaust the basics first. I have not done any fasted cardio yet as I workout in the early A.M. might try to get up and out asap and lift a little later in the day. With a bf% still up there, should this small changes in cardio and your Lipo/Soma break down the wall? Hold off on the clen till I get lower and the fat loss is a lot slower?

 

DP: You don't need to worry about clen yet. Get your diet perfect, do cardio every day, and then try Lipolyze and Somalyze.  You will have great results for a long time with that combo and once you're ready to jump up to the next level, you can try clen.

Dave, i don't have my gallbladder and was wondering if it's a good idea to do some kind of liver cleanse or detox, what would you recommend to take or do? I felt awesome a couple months post surgery(february), now just starting to feel sluggish, fatigue easy, crappy skin, irritable all over again. Diet is spot on from what you recommended :) thanks!

DP: Get some blood work done and check your liver function before you do anything.

1. It could be a circulation problem, a pinched nerve...any number of things. See a doctor.

2. I had a lot of cheat meals in the offseason - I have a great metabolism.  In the offseason it really doesn't matter when you have a cheat meal, but you should always have your waxy maize/whey isolate shake post workout.

I am currently on 8 pumps of Androgel 1% Testosterone Cream for past 2 1/2 years. Here are my latest test results. Should I have any other areas included in the next set of tests or all the bases covered with this report ( I thought my last test my doctor had requested my specific tests or panels and this report is less than the last report) I have two questions will I see more dramatic gains if I can get my testosterone higher say 650? What is a reasonable expectation? When does the testosterone number reach a point where gains plateau and the higher number does not translate to more gains but becomes more sde effects? DP: Unless your doctor is very aggressive, he/she will not give you much more testosterone.  You are near the middle of the normal range, which is all most doctors will help you with.  If you want to supplement on your own, levels over 1000 will yield higher muscle gains, but also have more risk for side effects.

On the label it says to have about 3 servings a day, now that makes it almost 30g's of carbs, question is is this dosage for general public or everyone including people your diet? would this put me out of ketosis by any chance?

DP: It will not take you out ketosis, it's all fiber (Remember, fiber is by definition an unabsorbable carb).  You need to assess your tolerance, start with ½ serving twice per day and work up to 1 full serving twice per day.  This is good for most people, but some want or like a third serving.

Does deca and/or primobolan increase the body's ability to absorb protein?

What do you think of the new liquid creatine from VPX in contrast with the one due out from Species?

If I plan on bulking from September to February, would staying on deca/test for those 6 months be too taxing even if I use something for liver health such as Milk thistle etc..?

DP: Neither of those substances have an effect on protein absorption.

Species CREALYZE is 100% soluble and stable liquid creatine...every gram is absorbed and used by the body. Other brands just claim to be stable.  I'll show you the labs.  Also, remember, if your product is STABLE but NOT ABSORBABLE, who really cares?

I don't recommend that long of a cycle, go for 16 weeks, take 4-6 weeks off, then start again.

I am noticing that my hands and arms fall asleep all the time, thumbs especially and I have wrist pain. I am also getting TMJ (excrutiating pain when I chew). I am PCT since June 10th. Is it related to coming off HGH (3iu daily x 4 months) or loss of androgens (usual precontest compounds)? I am a massage therapist and it is affecting my work, a little worried.

DP: Hand tingling and numbness usually happens while ON growth hormone.  Give it like 2 weeks and you'll be fine1

If you're using stimulants and NOT working out, specifically sitting at a desk, would your heart rate stay under 130, typically? And if that's the case, would I be avoiding muscular atrophy? Or will it have the same effect regardless?

DP: You would be at your resting heart rate which is well under 130bpm.  If you're eating every 2-3 hours, you won't have any muscle burning.

1. That's not my diet...see the diet I posted on page 1 of this thread. Follow that every day and have 1 cheat meal per week.  No starchy carbs at all except the one cheat meal.

2. The extreme heat can damage the supplements; you'll want to store them in a cool and dry environment.

First let me thank you for the diet. I've used a keto diet in the past, but not yours. This year I used yours and have made minor adjustments from week to week cutting fats and have had to cut the cheats out completely. I was behind schedule when I started, but I am amazed at how fast I have been dropping fat. It has been at a rate of 2-3 pounds a week consitently since I started.

 

My question is in regards to a total lipid panel I just had. My triglycerides were 17. Is there any negative consequences to having such low triglyerides? And my EkG showed S and T wave abnormalities. When I researched it, I found something stating electrolites could cause this and it was also seen in well trained athletes? Could the keto diet affect my electrolyte balance enough to cause this. The MD said it did not concern him.

ATTN DAVE..Need Your Opinion...

 

I need opinions on taking nitric oxide and creatine while cutting weight. I have been consistently losing weight for roughly 5 months but started using nitric oxide and creatine about 3 weeks ago and have noticed that the losses arent the same. I've been told that you dont like N.O. but i would appreciate your opinion all the same.

DP: You might be holding some water from the creatine...it helps to pull water into the muscles and that will increase your weight. As long as everything is consistent, this is a onetime thing and nothing to worry about.  The NO Xplode has carbs that you don't need on your diet and stimulants that raise cortisol-- save it for the offseason.

1. Don't overthink it...eat a well balanced meal that satisfies you and it'll do the trick.

2. Not if you are careful to use sterile syringes and sterile water.

3. You can get use to a dose over time. That's why I gradually increase the dose for my clients from 25mcg to 75mcg over 16 weeks (then gradually come off).
